    I am thinking, 27 months after getting my MK1, that I'm getting ready to get a second machine. I can't wait to hear more about Altmill!

      There is potential in the future, but not at the current moment. Thanks for asking!

    Hopefully, when I order my MK2 48X30, the 800W router will be available!!

    Hi Andy, one of the biggest advantages of the spindle over the router is the noise reduction.of the water cooled spindle. How does your new router compare in power and noise?

      Hey @ricktanguay2310 thanks for the question. To be clear, we're still in the testing phase, so nothing is written in stone yet. To answer your questions;
      We are aiming for 1kW motor. Until we've done actual testing we don't want to promise, but it should conservatively deliver 2/3 the power of a 1.5kW spindle.
      As for noise, our preliminary design has no brushes, has a smaller fan which will be "hidden" within the body assembly which should reduce noise to hopefully near air-cooler spindle levels. Hope these answers help! We'll be sure to post updates as info comes available.

    Ah so it’s a router NOT a spindle..
