I loved Halle as Ariel, but I do think having Delaney would’ve been a beautiful tribute. I wish Halle got to voice/play an original princess, maybe in the future.

I'd heard of The Little Mermaid on Broadway before but I think this is an offical show. Esspecially if it's starting the daughter of Jodi Benson herself.
it's not being produced by Disney if that's what you mean. it's available for licensing for local theatres as well as a few school versions. it is the Broadway production minus the rollerskates 😂

Funny thing about most Disney Broadway shows is they all have bird characters but they're all played as costumes except Zazu from the Lion King. I don't know if it's a fresh idea but I think it'd be nice to see all the bird characters in these shows played as a puppet like Zazu. Not only is the puppet master the soul of the puppet but they can be dressed to look as what the birds would be in human form sort of. (If you're confused let me know.) 😅 But I bet Jodi's daughter has a voice just as pretty as hers. If things get better for Disney, I think it'd be an amazing thought if she plays her own character one day and traditional too.
