I truly love ALL of your videos. There is so many kinds that you have SOMETHING that every woman will love. And some men too. You really show the life of a mother/wife in every realm possible. But the thing I love about your channel is that they are so entertaining. I even watch some of them twice. I love everything you stand for and you are so real. I’m still binge-watching the ones I missed since becoming a subscriber, which was probably about 6 months ago. You and Christine (Frugal Fit Mom) are my very favorites of all U Tubers, although I do watch crochet channels too. I’m 63, disabled and a retired nurse, my kids are grown, 6 grandkids, 1 great grandchild(she is the sunshine in my life), and I lost my husband nearly 10 years ago; which is a whole other story that would take a book to tell! I’m not the typical subscriber because of my age and abilities or lack of them, but I can relate to you so much, despite that. I’m so excited for you and the new venture of becoming a published author. I’ve always dreamed of writing a book. It won’t be long before we see you on some famous talk show! I truly believe that. I pray for your continued success in all that you do!!!♥️🌈💥🎉👌🌹🥰👏
I am going to clean the bathroom...ok guys I did this, this and this, I am going to go work on that bathroom....me later, I swear I really was going to work on that bathroom lol. GIRL this spoke volumes to me! This happens to me so many times! Thank you for being you ❤
Jen you HAVE to watch A tribe of many !!!! Sarah has the most beautiful family of 12 people !!! Her grocery hauls are epic I find them fascinating xx food for 12 for a month is awesome I couldn’t imagine doing it !!
I went to a Walmart near my moms house and they didn't have any regular check out lanes. I really don't like self checkout. I appreciate the service that the cashiers give, and I really don't go to the grocery store to work. 🤣
That butternut squash 😯 no need to peel it just put the whole thing in the oven and when it's cooked scoop out the seeds and then the flesh... no hassle at all! Makes great soup with just veg stock and some paprika.
That’s part of grocery shopping for me...ordering takeout or delivery for dinner lol 😂 You are definitely motivation for cleaning, organizing and just getting up off the couch for me!!! Thanks for all the great ideas and conversations...I feel very included in your talks lol. 😘😘😘
Just the motivation I needed to get up and get stuff done. I also agree cooking after grocery shopping is always a chore. Thanks for another great video 😊💜
I totally agree with more parents being involved in swimming. My husband and I have ran the scoring system and organized the timing for years now. There is lots of set up people don't realize goes into it. Our youngest is a senior this year and it has been a challenge to find people to take our place.
Hey Jenn! Thanks again for an awesome video. I was wondering if you could share how you do self care? Not just things you do to rejuvenate but how you process through negative thoughts. Thanks!
Please let us know if you like the wake up light!! I’ve been looking for one. Also let us know about the pantry containers. I read those kids collect water. Curious about your opinion - as always, love your content.
I have a wake-up light which I use from September to around May, when it’s dark at the time I have to get up. I find it makes waking WAY easier. Hope you like yours. ( Mine is by Lumie...I’m in the UK)
You’ll have a super great cookbook! Your scrapbook design experience will help and u are very creative! Hugs to Connor - hope he feels better soon. Hugs 🤗 😎☕️💫
"I know it's excessive but it's fine." LOL!!! I just came home from the store and I'm eating Thai food I picked up on the way home. I was so happy to see you had a new video for my dining pleasure, lol. Poor Murphy with a hurt paw and he couldn't have any ribs.
Jenn, there are 2 ways to peel butternut squash easily: baked about 5-10 min, whole, in a 350° oven OR microwave at 30 second increments. Then the peel is softer and is easier to work with.
Hello Jennifer. I love watching your videos. Lots of dinner ideas, thank you! 😊 But lately I've been having a hard time watching your videos due to all the slicing/editing in mid sentences. I enjoyed watching your videos because you were one of the few RUclipsrs that did not. Hope Murphy feels better soon ❤
Hi!! We have the exact same fridge and the ice thing happened to us last year...we had to pull the fridge out, take off the condensation line, let it thaw, clean it, and then raise the temp of the fridge a few degrees and we've not had a problem since then 🤞 hope that helps 😄
I have a different fridge that will also freeze if air flow is restricted. I put up bumpers at the end of each shelf by the back of the fridge to keep food from pushing up against the back. It eliminated the ice buildup.
Teach your daughter how to clean her bathroom. My daughter (13) cleans hers and she has gotten pretty good at it! It is such a nice help and a good skill for her to have. Glad your kids get to swim still. I am so glad my kids still get to do some things they love. I hear you on parent volunteers!!! I wish more would volunteer also.
Also the carrots and peanut butter is delicious, but something I didn't try until I was an adult. Also the squash with butter and brown sugar was my moms fav and I HATED it.
Good morning!! I have made KFC copycat coleslaw, I love that one!!🥰 I know what u mean about groceries, and wanting to get take out after the long day of getting them hauling them in putting it all away... i gotta still cln out my fridge drawers.. u got ur's done and pantry! Wow! Good job..🤩
I have done takeout after food shopping , also I love love love pumpkin spice. I love cheese too- not sure I can give it up but maybe I can cut down. Love your content. Ever watch content and say yeah I gotta do that - but then don’t. 😂. Well you have given me lots of ideas.
I had a bumper crop of butternut squash this year. I gave up on peeling unless I'm serving it cubed, instead I just halve it, remove the seeds and roast and it comes out easy. Also, it makes a great pie- just like pumpkin pie, or maybe even better.
Hey Jen, avoid peeling the squash and just cut it in half clean out the seeds and roast it. It is much easier to scoop out after if you are just going to puree it anyway. I make squash soup and peeled it for years until the lightbulb moment.
You might try the McCormic brand of garam masala, I do not use the hot one because I like to add my own chillies for heat. I have tried making my own blend of garam masala a few times. I have also purchased some blends at my local Indian grocer, some of them were very hot! But the McCormick line has nailed it in my opinion! If you order online, you might try the SWAD line. Good luck, happy cooking!!
Yes I do that to get an easy meal because to much work putting everything away. Oh my gosh I love baked butternut squash with butter and brown sugar LOL. or maple sugar. But I hear you re when I was a kid too. However mine will eat it that way. Now though I mostly cube it, steam it and mash it with potato masher, add a tiny bit of brown sugar, good gob of unsalted butter and raisins. That seems to be a big hit. And loving my Misen knives. Never had this quality knife and have paid big money for ones that are not even comparable. :)
The Walmart app is super helpful to show you what your store specifically has in stock. I use it all of the time since I am a couponer, so you might want to check it out if you haven't already. It isn't always 100% accurate, but usually pretty close, so a lot of the time I check it before shopping.
Who actually makes dinner with the food they bought after shopping? 😂 I ALWAYS get take out after a grocery haul! It’s just all too much work! And I just realized...I’m pretty sure we have the same car! GMC Terrain 👍🏽
You are very honest.....I am always making excuses for not doing cooking on grocery pick up day......but it wears me out. Grocery shopping isn't what it used to be. K
1 Cup Mayonnaise Do Not Miracle Whip 1/3 Cup sugar 3 Tab. White Distilled Vinegar Lots of pepper This is enough for one 14-16oz. Bag of shredded cabbage. My Grandma’s recipe😉
I like the self checkout lanes because I often take reusable bags with me, and I can load them up how I want, especially as full as I want. I don’t mind cashiers bagging (used to be a cashier at a Walmart), but there’s one Kroger I shop at that it see s they out as little in bags as possible, which just frustrates me. I’m not gung-ho about recycling and cutting down on the amount of plastic I take home, but I do try to be as conscious of what I do, and want to cut back as much as possible.
If you like to do home pedicures, you have to check out the Diamancel foot file they have at Costco! It’s kind of pricey at $57, but you get 2 different ones and they are a fraction of the full price. I splurged and got them about 2 months ago and my feet have never felt so good!
I never cook on the day I buy groceries. I make sure I get something easy on the way home for dinner. even if it's on a pick up order... :) I haven't heard of the light clock. My brother and sister in law use 4 alarm clocks two for each. one at the night stand and one across the room.. and they still get up late.... seeing you needing to do dishes before you start cooking. makes me happy. Because that means I'm not the ONLY person that does that. I hope Connor is feeling better. cute grill cheese and tomato soup. I have always put salt and pepper and butter on all my quashes never brown sugar. yuck on brown sugar
I recently heard about carrots with yellow mustard as a thing. If I am hungry but don't want to give up the calories, especially if I feel like snacking while cooking, then I go for that now. I will have to try with the peanut butter though. 🤔
The same thing happened with my refrigerator. I had a repair person come out and it has to do with the drain tube running next to your ice maker. It will freeze up and then cause the backup into your refrigerator. It was a pretty simple fix, Unfortunately, I can’t remember exactly what he did. Sorry
I have that problem with my pantry too... it's like how did I ever manage to stuff all those things in there?!? I don't give myself enough credit... I'm like expert level Tetris master! Haha! I love your dark grey cardigan that you had at the end of the video! Is it something that you found online?? I've been on the hunt for something similar..!
Here’s a hack if you are just going to purée the squash...I never peel mine. Wash it, cut in half, seed it. Then lay it cut side down in a dish or pan (with sides). Put just a little water, (maybe 1/4” or so) in the pan to “steam bake” it in the oven. When the squash has cooked enough to be tender, just scoop it out of the shell. It can then be frozen for future use.
All the pumkin spice stuff reminded me, chobani is now making coffee creamer! Was anybody else aware of this?! I got some of the pumpkin spice and oh... my... God.... it is sooo good! If you come across it, I highly recommend.
There is a little drain thing in the bottom of the inside of the fridge that is clogged. Then water backs up and freezes. Ask a repair guy to fix it. It is quick and not hard to do. Design flow in modern fridges. Repair people are very accustomed to dealing with it.
Jen the garam Masala is prob on the international foods aisle, and the cheese grater makes the growth happen on your foot, I always had cracked and hurting heel a with "growth" on there for years and someone said to stop the cheese grater and only use a pumice stone for a while and all the problems stopped. They said the nail shops do it so you'll come back lol
Generally, when I reorganize my pantry, take everything out, get rid of expired stuff I have this real feeling of accomplishment where everything is much neater...then I turn around and find the five things stuck in the corner of the kitchen counter or on the table that I forgot to put back in.
Mom, wife, nurse, RUclipsr, author, and now swim referee! These other parents need to step up their game 🙌🏻

Looks like Murphy knows exactly what to do with the leftover smoked ribs.
I hope Connor is feeling better & Murphy's paw is healing. Always brightens my day when I get to watch your videos
I just love Murphy! I hope his foot is better! What a great parent you are to volunteer at your kids swim meets.
I am going to clean the bathroom...ok guys I did this, this and this, I am going to go work on that bathroom....me later, I swear I really was going to work on that bathroom lol. GIRL this spoke volumes to me! This happens to me so many times! Thank you for being you ❤

I went to a Walmart near my moms house and they didn't have any regular check out lanes. I really don't like self checkout. I appreciate the service that the cashiers give, and I really don't go to the grocery store to work. 🤣
Right! And I never get out with needing help anyway.
Connor! Hope you’re all better and that you got your grilled cheese and tomato soup! We love you! ❤️👍🏻🐾❣️

Hi Jen, yes COFFEE ☕
Did I see Bauman Farms jam in the fridge?! Omg my grandma sends us some all of the time since I live in CO!
Great video. Motivating. I don't have half the stuff on my plate and I don't get next what you get done. Goals for sure!

Its Saturday evening here in Nairobi, Kenya and guess what JEN notification is 🛎
I have a "cheesy squash" recipe I'll send you. It uses spaghetti squash, which I don't usually care for, but its soooo good and keto friendly.
I love the foot callous deal..great for these times,I'm not going for a pedicure yet.
The cheesy potatoes look so yummy 😋
I can't wait for the cook book ⌚!!!🌈

Hi Jen, what brand is your vegetable peeler? I've been looking for one that works in both directions. Thanks!
I have a cheap Farberware one 😜
I had a bumper crop of butternut squash this year. I gave up on peeling unless I'm serving it cubed, instead I just halve it, remove the seeds and roast and it comes out easy. Also, it makes a great pie- just like pumpkin pie, or maybe even better.

Love this video. Now I need to clean lol
On dog crusty bits...coconut oil works amazing....softens up the skin and heals cracked, chapped skin. and is super cheap
What kind of washer and dryer do you have?
If you're going to puree it, next time just bake it with the skin and then scoop it out when done! So much easier!
Dang!!
Hi Jen!

The ozery brand is the exact bread that comes in a snack box from Starbucks
Can you please share the banana bread recipe

Same! I never have room for those things either. Can’t figure out why it all came out but won’t fit back in
