i hate to say this but the original Yu peng chen part is the most unique one on this track, the rest is just basic and recycled sound from before, even the dubstep is all over the place.
Also, I bet Columbina's boss theme would just be like many vocals and in some moments there would be a big bass and beat, and in other moments there would be like calm, classic
Considering the dubstep is a recuring pattern for the non-teyvatian entities, it wouldn't be surprising if Arlecchino was linked to higher entities or outworlders... A lot of theories do point toward this actuallyn hence the dubstep. It's really great I love her theme. I was a bit underwhelmed since Apep, tho I enjoyed the whale, this one is really great, though my fav still is signora's phase 2, but this one might actually come close to it

She herself is an otherworlder probably. She’s khaenriahn and has the lineage of the crimson moon dynasty, but she is also someone who passed through the two worlds’ flame like perinheri did, implying she too is an outworlder.
Considering her boss title card is Cinder of Two Worlds' Flames, on top of all the other hints, I think it's a fairly safe bet she's in some way connected to another world, if not from one herself.
this song is so good. obviously it doesn't have the emotional impact like scara's and some of the others do - but it shouldn't, due to the circumstances of the fight. it still sounds amazing. the organ, piano, choir, singing, everything mixes SO well. people were worried about the direction of the soundtrack after yu peng chen left, but fontaine has been incredible so far.
Plus she isn’t really the type to get emotional like signora and scara? Both of them have much more trouble properly controlling and not showing their emotions
Oh i disagree, this song has plenty of emotional impact, but not exactly for Arlecchino but for Lyney, Lynette and Freminet instead, this is a somber theme that represents their determination clashing against their ruthless father, in a way it's fitting that Arlecchino's boss fight and theme is all about the house of the heart and not entirely about herself, it's fitting within the story.
With Childe we hear Fatui theme with an adventorous background music, some epicness at the end and a bit of the theme used in the Narval theme if you pay atention. With Segnora its fatui theme but like a ballet that turns into a tragedy full of anger- Her history. Scara have his tragedy too, full of anger and nostalgia , his broken persona talking to himself, Puppet,Fatui and God at the same time But with Knave we have cold serenity, an unfaced will, chilling murdering intent. BUT like in the Narval theme ,they used Dubstep too and this is very clever use because Yu-Peng tell us with this that like the Narval, Knave also came from another place: Cinder of TWO worlds.
I heard she's from the ka'nnria crimson moon dynasty but well then she will be immortal/cursed or other theory is her ancestors being from the crimson moon dynasty and that's why she has black hands and is not turning into a hilicurls... I like this OST a lot but maybe that's because I like dubstep and any music genre really. I feel like people comparing this to Scaramouche and signora are forgetting about the aspect of the character arlecchino she's not as prone to let out emotion her theme isn't going to be as emotionally invested as the others this is one boss where the circumstances out way the emotion. the emotion in this battle comes from lyney Lynette and freminett as well as the player not the boss itself. she's not going to have an overwhelming theme that's sad or angry it fits with her character someone who authoritates and rules over. she's also an assassin this theme fits her very well and compliments her character overall its a good theme.
I feel like one thing her Theme did was show her overwhelming strength. This was the one theme that felt like traveler was punching outside of their league. Which is exactly what happened

Like she’s has to keep up an appearance and even in her voice lines when talking to the traveler she says things like sadness and anger are a hindrance that’s not verbatim but that’s what I was trying to say. Her theme almost emphasized this idea of upholding those standards within the house of the hearth as well as her own calm and cool demeanor but as the fight goes on so do the overwhelming emotions she has peak through so I can see how it’s underwhelming but I feel like it’s supposed to be and that’s what makes it a good theme
Yeah this theme isn't about any emotion except terror. It's supposed to make her feel imposing, because that's basically her whole thing. She's incredibly imposing.

the fact that at the beginning of the Phase 1 you can hear the children choir that sings in russian "Слуга" that means "The Knave" is so cool, but maybe, I just mishear it
4:40 it honestly feels and sounds like lyney is trying to convince the father to forgive betrayl that the children does, cause punishment here means death yet the father ignores it,not backing down to his rules 5:50 where she tells them again about the rules of the house where any form of betrayal will result in severe punishment and then the dubstep takes over representing her overwhelming power
Actual fcking peak. I have already listened to this ost more than any other and im gonna just have this on repeat for so fcking long. Do wanna point out how funny it is that when Scara ost came out, SO MANY were hating on it, maybe worse than Arle, and now they r saying thats peak and hating on this. Same with Apep and the Narwhal. I think ppl forget that this is not just music releases for listening on free time, and is actually a battle theme thats gonna play together with the boss fight. These r two very different experiences. Half the enjoyment is listening during combat, becuz its meant to be played there, and what these ppl r consuming is something they are meant to see alongside the story and combat, and not as music released for the purpose of being put in a spotify playlist.

It sounds pretty masculine, but it's pretty fitting, they clearly go out of the way to get fitting singers for the Fatui themes. The vocalist for Scara's theme sounds *reeeaally* similar to his CN voice and it's honestly pretty close here too.

@2:02 Fatui Harbinger leitmotif. Not sure if it's intentional or because it's no longer Yu-peng Chen making the OST that Arlecchino's theme doesn't build up with this leitmotif as much as other harbingers.
I think it's because Arlecchino is more affiliated with the House of Hearth than with the Fatui. She would gladly betray the Fatui to keep the House safe.
I do think this was intentional. She is a harbinger after all, yet does not have that loyalty towards the organisation, as other members might have. Therefore it only makes sense that the leitmotif is only showing up for a fraction of the song.
I did a survey with several people with different personal tastes, comparing this song with the previous Boss Theme composed by Yu-Peng Chen, Scaramouche, and with great surprise I say that... out of about 20 people interviewed, at least 15 preferred this Arlecchino's Theme. I also, as one of Yu-Peng's biggest fans, who is my favorite composer, say that this theme is not far behind what he composes. Yu-Peng Chen is genius, but Dimeng Yuan is talent, and in talent he shows that he is not far behind. This song for me is impeccable melodically and the violin chords are phenomenal, not to mention the lyrics of the song which is easily the best lyrics in any boss theme in the game so far. Its only flaw is the EDM, but even with this flaw it is a top-tier song. And yes, there is currently a bias in the community about Yu-Peng Chen, given that we can see that in this interview I interviewed about 20 different people and the vast majority of them don't play Genshin anymore or have never played it.
Don't get people being mad about this. I just came back to this game after a 6 months long break (right after Furina), got my 31 pity Arlecchino and then did the quest. The music is perfectly fine, and the dubstep fits perfectly with her also being shown glitching.

I thought the singing part will be lead by a soprano, considering the previous fatui battle theme seemed to correspond the color voice of each fatui members (correct me if I'm wrong?). But this is also a nice take, considering the orphans is facing their 'father'.
In the Japanese dub, the voice actress purposely voiced Arlecchino in a more masculine manner, mirroring her title of "Father". It makes sense that the lead singer of this theme is the lowest vocal range for female singers, matching this performance. It also lends credence to the idea that each harbinger theme's Latin lyrics are sung by the harbinger who's theme it is: Tartaglia's is a mid range male singer, Signora a high pitched female opera singer, Scara a higher pitched male singer, and Arlecchino a low range female singer. Really cool!

Thats why I was glad that we actually lost, since the traveller, for once, has no bullshit to rely on. But to be fair, yeah, childe and signora are two bosses that the traveller really did beat without any bs helping them

We clearly lost the first time around and had to rely on Miko training us on her combat style alongside uniting the stolen visions of the people which also mostly seemed like Miko’s plan who just needed a conduit that the Traveller was powerful enough to do. Heck they’ve done it before with the Adepti The game has made it quite clear the combined dreams and hopes of a nation are extremely powerful thing if an archon’s strength is determined by it alongside being able to produce Indemnidium and considering the traveller is a god too technically it makes sense it can be redirected into them too
This song gains more weight when you understand the lyrics. Everything is very well done, even if it may seem lacking at first. But after listening to it too much, I feel that it is on par with Scaramouche's.

I feel like people comparing this to Scaramouche and signora are forgetting about the aspect of the character arlecchino she's not as prone to let out emotion her theme isn't going to be as emotionally invested as the others this is one boss where the circumstances out way the emotion. the emotion in this battle comes from lyney Lynette and freminett as well as the player not the boss itself. she's not going to have an overwhelming theme that's sad or angry it fits with her character someone who authoritates and rules over. she's also an assassin this theme fits her very well and compliments her character overall its a good theme.

Like she’s has to keep up an appearance and even in her voice lines when talking to the traveler she says things like sadness and anger are a hindrance that’s not verbatim but that’s what I was trying to say. Her theme almost emphasized this idea of upholding those standards within the house of the hearth as well as her own calm and cool demeanor but as the fight goes on so do the overwhelming emotions she has peak through so I can see how it’s underwhelming but I feel like it’s supposed to be and that’s what makes it a good theme
Yeah this theme isn't about any emotion except terror. It's supposed to make her feel imposing, because that's basically her whole thing. She's incredibly imposing.

These r two very different experiences. I think it's because Arlecchino is more affiliated with the House of Hearth than with the Fatui. She would gladly betray the Fatui to keep the House safe.

I did a survey with several people with different personal tastes, comparing this song with the previous Boss Theme composed by Yu-Peng Chen, Scaramouche, and with great surprise I say that... out of about 20 people interviewed, at least 15 preferred this Arlecchino's Theme.
I also, as one of Yu-Peng's biggest fans, who is my favorite composer, say that this theme is not far behind what he composes. Yu-Peng Chen is genius, but Dimeng Yuan is talent, and in talent he shows that he is not far behind.
This song for me is impeccable melodically and the violin chords are phenomenal, not to mention the lyrics of the song which is easily the best lyrics in any boss theme in the game so far. Its only flaw is the EDM, but even with this flaw it is a top-tier song.
And yes, there is currently a bias in the community about Yu-Peng Chen, given that we can see that in this interview I interviewed about 20 different people and the vast majority of them don't play Genshin anymore or have never played it.

I thought the singing part will be lead by a soprano, considering the previous fatui battle theme seemed to correspond the color voice of each fatui members (correct me if I'm wrong?). But this is also a nice take, considering the orphans is facing their 'father'.
In the Japanese dub, the voice actress purposely voiced Arlecchino in a more masculine manner, mirroring her title of "Father".
It makes sense that the lead singer of this theme is the lowest vocal range for female singers, matching this performance.
It also lends credence to the idea that each harbinger theme's Latin lyrics are sung by the harbinger who's theme it is: Tartaglia's is a mid range male singer, Signora a high pitched female opera singer, Scara a higher pitched male singer, and Arlecchino a low range female singer.

As for Raiden I’d say that hers made sense too. We clearly lost the first time around and had to rely on Miko training us on her combat style alongside uniting the stolen visions of the people which also mostly seemed like Miko’s plan who just needed a conduit that the Traveller was powerful enough to do. Heck they’ve done it before with the Adepti
The game has made it quite clear the combined dreams and hopes of a nation are extremely powerful thing if an archon’s strength is determined by it alongside being able to produce Indemnidium and considering the traveller is a god too technically it makes sense it can be redirected into them too
