It was Ms. Lea Salonga who commended her singing skill and was really impressed by her performance here. It's funny how those unprofessional fans keep on comparing Julie Anne to Janella. First and foremost, Janella sang it in a recording studio, so technically, it's edited. And as for Julie Anne's, it's freaking live. This song is hard to sing because it has a fast phase. You will lose your breathing if you don't how to save it. The reason why she's using the falsetto in some parts was because of the arrangement. As you'd notice, she sang the chorus at end part higher than the original and belt out the last note. So she saved her energy to be able to belt out the last part. That made sense. PS. Just a friendly reminder, singing is not just about who sings it. It's about how the singer show off her skills. Don't bash a performance just because they're better than your idol. Janella still has a long way to go while Julie Anne is professional and well-trained already. I'm not bias. I witness those two in this industry and I'm saying this as a matter of fact.
To add more, the vocal color of Julie Anne suits the song so well. Some international fans even thought she's the original singer. Well, petty fans will always be petty. Glad, there are still fans like us. 😊

I think it's not fair to compare Julie Anne's performance with Janella's. Julie sang it live in front of a big crowd while Janella sang it in a recording studio. The sound would obviously be clearer and well-rehearsed in a studio. Also, Disney should have a good reason why they chose Janella to sing the promotional version and Julie to sing the song for their concert; not the other way around. :)
