How to Make a Local Style Hive

A short instructional video showing you how to make a local style bee hive. Although the style portrayed is from the Amhara region of Ethiopia, many of the techniques employed can be applied elsewhere, using materials which are locally available wherever you are. These hives are an easily accessible, and cost-effective alternative for beekeepers who cannot afford expensive frame hives or for beekeepers who do not wish to use them because they are unsuitable for honey bees in the tropics.
