Great project. The chicken and the egg comment just reminded me of the flight of the conchords episode🐔🥚😂 I need to watch those again! Band meeting... Present.
Personally, I enjoyed seeing you work around the current limitations! You did a good job on this project (no surprise there). You are truly a talented wood worker and I wish you and your family the very best and stay safe.
Very nice Joey, I always enjoy your work! Sorry you can't get to your shop, but many of us are enjoying your hand tool focus for now. I took a slightly different approach to solving the same (where do my clothes go) challenge. Sorry, the editing isn't great as this was from two years ago right when I started my RUclips channel: ruclips.net/video/OIA1DvOoAao/видео.html
That first shot of you using the hand saw, I thought to myself, man that one sharp saw! yeah yeah, it took this rider a second or two, to catch-up to his horse... lmao, duh... 🤣🤣🤣 Looks awesome, mate 👍🏽 Loving the sleekness of it and the contrasting colours. 👌🏽
Hi , I am a wood salesman, our small factory make wood board. Also make some bed and door. We make it quick, mostly used machines. If possible, I want to talk with you and share experience with each other.
I have watched a number of your videos. You have great design and good free hand drawing skills. These last two videos show that while we all venerate hand tools, and the skills necessary to effectively use them, it is near impossible to make perfect joints and furniture without them, much less made a living without them. Love your sliding table panel saw!
My (late) father's valet stand had a deeper and larger shelf, almost like a box. Myself, I use a chair, and a medium tray for a landing spot for my pocket stuff and such. I also use metal hooks that rest on the top side of the closet doors to hang coat hangers and such. Unfortunately my apartment is very small. But I'd like to get a quality valet stand, if I had the room.
Good Job Joey, It's amazing what you can do with hand tools LOL. I have a seat Valet that I made years ago, But yours is more interesting because of the joinery you used. I'm sure you will be out of lock down soon and then back to the shop. You will miss the satisfaction of the hand tool builds 😎
Joey I have come to learn that it is not the size of your shop or work space or how many tools you have. It’s all about using your mind and your hands to make something great. Dennis DuPerron September,2018
Matthias wandell put a video years ago strength testing tenon joints tight right and loose and found loose with lots of glue was as strong. Not a good finding for the perfectionists.
While I’m happy you found the jigsaw, I really appreciated your technique of relief cuts and the chisel work to form the curves. Thanks, and I hope you and the family are well!

I've really enjoyed seeing all your techniques with hand tools but I got excited for you when you found the jigsaw, ha!
Amazing improv and hand tool skills there Joey.
I have one of these, it's the corner of our room. My wife didn't think this comment was as funny as I did!
You had fun, Joey. I probably would have given up on that leg angle thing. What a nightmare. In the end, it is still a fair piece of joinery.
18 people obviously don't like screws or hand tools.
Excellent video and good creativity!
I understand why Joey doesn't make videos anymore , the effort to reword isn't very good on youtube anymore
Never mind the rack...I want that handsaw!
hahaha, got me too, for a second...🤣🤣
Nice use of angles, maybe a plywood version would make am interesting product. The portable bench is certainly proving its worth.
I liked watching you work through the issues as they developed. Thanks.
Joey is everything going ok?
I have been watching your videos from day one. Hope you and family are well.
Regards from Sth Australia.
Yes all good thanks , just crazy busy! You can hear all about it on my podcast if you like , the shop stool podcast.

Missed the notification of this last week. Hopefully you were back to the workshop for good today.
That turned out pretty cool mate, nice combo of timbers, looks just right 👌👌👌👍👍👍
I always enjoy projects like this. Ones that make you think a little outside the box and problem solving. Nice job!
Cheers guy, watched your island build the other night, what a pleasure watching someone who knows what they're doing. Nice and relaxing.
@@KingPostTimberWorks HaHa. I have everyone fooled. I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time..

Are you superman or is that handsaw just incredibly sharp?
Very creative, thanks for doing this hand tool vids!

Great little project. Nice design - looks good
I liked the way you cut the curves in with relief cuts and a chisel.
I’m a hand tool woodworker. I love seeing your solutions to problems. You definitely have a new subscriber.
Cheers
It looks like you are having a lot of fun in lock down. Makes me wish I was in lock down too! 😂
