The ceiling work is going to be exquisite when all is said and done. Every time I look at the drone shots of the front and back of the chateau I still cannot believe how the place gleams in the sunshine!! You all do such exquisite work. And to think that each square centimeter of those two surfaces was hand cleaned!!! Unbelievable. Keep up the good work.
Oh my gosh....to think they finally came out the other side of those intricate cleaning details. 😳 I think they've touched every single centimeter of the entire chateau at least four times!! Can you imagine waking up there every day, knowing ALL the dirty work you went through to get there. Y'all deserve to enjoy your days. You've earned it!!
WOW, the grounds look great, both front and back. Love all the drone shots. I am with Ash, just leave it to Terry, Terry makes things look so easy. Bravo Lalacelle Team.🤩🤩🥰🥰

I wanted to also tell you, that when my late husband immigrated to the US in 1960, All was well for about 10 years. Then my father in law got homesick for the Azores, in particular, Sao Jorge. So he left, and my mother in law went with him. He just didn't like it here. He liked the life they left behind. On another subject, I love the beautiful facade of the Chateau. You have all given it so much needed love, and you can tell, the Chateau's self esteem is flying high! LOL. It really is so beautiful! Your beautiful garden, and the facade of the other side of the chateau is just breathtaking. Applause! Applause! Standing ovation to all of you! You should plant some beautiful hibiscus somewhere. Mine has been shaped like a tree. I plant one in every home I buy. It just reminds me of my trips to Hawaii. I am homesick for Maui! Lilac is so fragrant too. Dah Lee uh is how you say Dahlia.
When Terry started talking about cutting a hole in the floor I was trying to envision where he would go with that; he got us!😂. Love the graceful shape of an oval in the ceiling. Genius, as usual! 🙌😍👍
Cardoon, which sounds like cartoon.... 👍 The ceiling is going to be beautiful. I do hope you consider creating a coffee table book with the before and after of each room.
All I could think of was either a sunken bed or a big laundry chute under a carpet? Or perhaps a fish pond ----- April Fools in August. Your garden is amazing - I can see a pool down below.
You and Terry are the best team! You have the enthusiasm, the outgoing love of people and the big muscle skills. He has the manners, the vision and the finer dexterity skills. How lucky for you both.
The shots of the Chateau in the sun light looks spectacular. I'm so glad you cleaned all the stone work as I know you said you didn't want her clean, but you made the right choice. I am looking forward to seeing the ceiling done. X
You're so funny, Terry! 😂 I totally get you. I've had a lot of crazy ideas in my life as well, that nobody else could see, but I made them happen! I generally worked by myself, so I didn't tell people what I was going to do. I just did it, and then they saw. ❤

It's so important to look back from time to time and appreciate all the hard work and slogging that you've all put in. The Chateau and gardens are looking gorgeous 🎉❤
Terry - For future ovals there is a very easy way to do it with two nails and a string. And you can do it anywhere. You could draw it on the ceiling, the floor or even the board you want to cover the ceiling with. You can lay out rooms with it. I'm sure this is how the architects of the 18th century laid out oval salons etc. You know the length and width of of the oval want. You place your nails at 1//4 of the width from each end of the rectangle on a line that bisects the rectangle lengthwise. You tie the string to both nails and allow enough string to hold it at the midpoint of one of the long sides. Or you could stretch the string from one nail to the opposite side and holding it on the edge of the length of the rectangle you double back and tie it to that closer nail. That string can be used to guide a pencil or marker. It gives you a smother oval than trying to draw one quarter and repeating it. The house is gleaming now.
