Great job I had that kit when I was a kid now 59 you have inspired me to rebuild thanks so much for sharing.✌Canada✌
Thank you James
I’ve just got one of these. I decided to watch this before starting it so am subsequently stood here in the kitchen with a prt assembled kit and an annoyed wife.
Lol, hopefully she forgave you
You couldn't have picked a better kit to get into 1/35th armour, it's a fun build, you did a great job on it. I look forward to see what you do with the Hanomag (If you do a video build).
Thanks Stuart, hopefully the Hanomag will end up as a video build.
Grand job, I have this in my stash along with the Pink Panther, and the LRDG Chevy Truck. Working on the scene I'll be placing it in before I build them. I will say yours still looked too green to me (please don't be offended at that) If you watch Rogue Heroes Paddy Mayne etched numbers into his Jeep and there was a metal colour under the sand colour, I've had the idea of a aloy base coat so when I scratch into it I get the same or similar effect. Then I'll add some Olive Drab very thinly to the edges of the chipping to give that 3d 3 colour effect. Love the build of the base as well... Nice build... And remember Sterling may have founded the SAS, but it was and Irish man who made it what it was. Sterling was captured in Jan 1943 Mayne took over as commander and turned in into the effective fighting force it was...
No offense taken, my view is that Rogue Heroes is a TV show. The picture refs I had of the vehicles are all black and white so its open to interpretation for me at least. However, one of the pictures which shows a jeep from the front the bumper chipping is very dark in colour, hence I was happy with my choice. I will agree in the pictures the green tones do come out a bit. I did try some chipping using metallic colours and I found it very unrealistic looking. But its all personal choice. Thanks for watching.
Really liked the build. I have watched a few videos of these being done and am thinking of getting a couple myself. I thought you also painted the figures really well too. 👍
Thanks Wayne.
I have jus come across this build and it is great, I have just got one of these and your video has inspired me to build it asap ,
cheers Dan.
Thanks Steven, hope it goes well.
Just got 2 of these kits delivered today, can’t wait to build after watching your video. Great build.
They are a bargain and a nice simple build
For first time.. You did it well.. Well done Mr.Dan Cave!!
Thank you kindly
Great use of the frame. I shall definitely try this on the jeep I’m building - lovely model, well done.
Thanks Martin.
For your first 1/35 that was a good-un! assembly was straight forward, weathering is not easy you either get carried away and over do it or under cook the finish. it takes lots of practice and study to get the right balances. But this was very good as a starter. you will improve as the year unfolds. well done Dan.
Thank you Richard.
Nice job, given me some ideas. Great idea for base
Thanks Steve
very nice work mate
Many thanks!
Very cool.
Thank you
