  • Draymond Green explains the much-talked about moment in the Golden State Warriors' Christmas Day NBA matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers involving referee Scott Foster, Dalton Knecht, and Rui Hachimura. He praises Foster for his fair officiating and describes a play where players locked arms and why he decided to try a suplex move to get a foul call to no avail.

“I don’t hear a whistle blow yet, there ain’t enough contact!” Love you brother for that future HOF-level humor! Talking about HOFers, I think if Mullin makes the magnanimous gesture of Dub-nation-love and let Schroder wear #17, you don’t think that won’t unlock him to play at another level??? Games about 99% mental, but can Mullin make THAT assist?

    Why is viewership down?
    Lack of manliness and competition.
At its height, the NBA was about fierce competition and rivalry. Strong defense. Strong emotion. Strong animosity between teams.
Today, players are seen complementing opponents, whining continuously to the refs, and being able to ignore or abuse defenders.
Look back at some of the great plays of the past:
    - Shawn Kemp dunking on and screaming at his opponent.
    - Scotty Pippen on Ewing.
    - Even KJ dunking on the Jazz.
If the NBA wants viewership, the competition has to return. This can be accomplished in a few easy steps.
    - Enforce the rules (traveling, carrying, gather bs, etc.)
    - Enable defense (just because the offensive player creates contact doesn't mean there's a foul)
    - Get rid of the all star game (it was once a showcase of competing heroes; no just a cheap circus)
    - Lose the social and political messaging (part of the enjoyment of sport is the setting aside such things)
90s and 00s were the pinnacle. Want that back? Return to their ways. The NBA has the resources and characters to do it...

Nothing Draymond says applies if your CP3 or CP3 teammate expectually if your in the playoffs. James Harden is an example. He got his eye point and beaten down in game 7 against the Warriors. Scott didn't see anything.

Bdiddy is right. I remember watching Tmac vs Lebron on Christmas Day back in the day. LeBron was up and coming and Tmac was a star. Not even a fan of either team, but the story was intriguing had to tune in.

the league has a star visibility and likability problem. in the league there was always a who is next mentality. jordan carried the league for years even when he was losing then he broke through and won. he got 3 and they tried to push hakeem and shaq. he came back and carried the league 3 more years then we got kobe, allen iverson ascending. and we had the kobe era then we got lebron then steph. right now we have new stars that need to be promoted that they dont want to or are too obscure. sga, luka, joker, tatum, antman are the stars that need to be pushed
