Love this!! My “Sabbath” tends to be Wednesdays simply because my son is involved in sports and is active at church both helping with the kids and participating in youth group so we don’t get to rest and relax on Saturdays or Sundays. I know there is a huge debate about which day of the week but as you said it’s less important which day but that we take a day at all!
We also homeschool and so we can build school around what works for us. 😊
Thanks for more peace and encouragement ❤

I'm with the mobile phone sound off mention! All my mobile life (I'm 54)... I get flustered easily and have committed too readily without adequate time to reflect first and learned that these days pretty much everyone in my world has the option to message and I am super efficient at answering those. Otherwise I lose focus and time especially as a working from home career woman. Thank you. I feel validated 🥰

I love a group cleaning day. That's so fun. I also believe having a day of rest/Sabbath is important. If God rested, so should we.

Looking forward to the video as well. I have t kids one of whom is a newborn and now returning to WFH. 1 week in and despite coping wisely, it's not been easy to say the least.

I'm very excited to watch this! We realised last night after some simple math that my husband will be working til he's 100 if we plan to pay off our mortgage on our current trajectory 😅 we're still undecided about questions like schooling and returning to work but I'd absolutely love to be able to really dig into some form of sustainable part time income while still being home and available for our daughter during the school years.

    So helpful!
I find that some people also do not understand that just bc we homeschool doesn’t mean they can interrupt our days any time they want. I try to block off a certain morning time frame for schooling my children and keep distractions to a minimum and people always seem to want to come over and visit when it’s convenient for them and do not value our “school time.”
I get so frustrated when they say “well you can just do school later, you have all day” 🤦🏻‍♀️🤪

Oh I really appreciate your reminder to also REST! Often on Saturdays, I just plain crash after a long week of homeschooling and need to check out. I cannot get my brain to kick into gear for planning and prepping for the next week until after I've had some quiet alone time to refresh. I do feel better after this, but then also, further behind. I often wonder about this weekly pattern... work all week, including Saturdays, and spend much of the day in church on Sundays (10-3)... let's be real, we all know that getting children ready for church is not restful 😂. So when are people actually resting? If a mom is buried in homeschool all week, when does she also have time to meal plan and prepare for the week ahead, clean her house, and also do some projects like downscaling, organizing, switching kids clothing out seasonally and as they grow, other home projects related to a remodel project, etc, homesteading, gardening, etc etc etc.... ahhh!!! I have pulled all-nighters and it's still not enough time, and then my health pays for that. I'd love to hear you talk more about this. Thankyou, always love your videos and encouragement! ❤

I love making lists(even though I don't always stick to them, lol) So, hearing your 'now' vs 'later' lists just made sense to me! I will be implementing this very soon! Thank you 😊

I love making lists even if I don't follow them too, lol! Something so satisfying about checking all the boxes though...hehe!

I love this. Sometimes working from home while homeschooling can be isolating. I am always balancing school, work, social activities, and keeping the house in a decent order. It feels like every homeschool mom I know doesn’t have to work, and sometimes I struggle with jealousy in that department. But ultimately, if I have to work, I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to work from home so that I can also homeschool.

Such an encouraging video full with beauty as well. Your farm is so beautiful. I love my planner. I love the idea of setting daily task and weekly task. It frees up stress of to much today and I can move task to another day. I loved this! Ty.

Thank you always for such great, relevant encouragement!☺️🧡👍👍 I'm wondering if you have a "Kitchen Day" video? I'd love to learn more how to do that. Ps i LOVE your chore cards, we've used them for about 2 yrs now and helps so much, way less fighting with kids to get them to do their specific tasks. 👍👍😁

You are exactly who I need to follow. I’m in a homeschool season where I have my system figured out with my second batch of kids, and I have to work the angles to make some money to contribute to the family budget. I’m curious who you follow and get inspo from also. I’m moving toward a virtual position and cutting back on my out of home hours. Aiming for enough to contribute and make ends meet without sinking my ship as the tone-setter for the house. Thanks for this great channel!

I never struggled with the idea that some people take a sabbath on one day of the week while others do another. My dad works in an ER. Someone has to be there on Saturday. Someone has to be there on Sunday. Someone has to be there every day! Sometimes he rests on Wednesday and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that!

Wow, what a humbling point you have made. Thank you for adding this. I don't think there could be a more valid point then this regarding the Sabbath.
