I've been researching this set, it looks like they produced some that were 50i and some were 60i, so even if they were region free they might not play depending on your tv and blu ray set up and which frame rate it supports. The labels on the boxes are the same but the numbers printed on the discs are different for the 50i and 60i sets.

Yeah, and I got the 50i set. Kudos to Network for sending me a replacement that worked. They did a standard version of this set and released it in the USA. A shame Network went out of business.

Update: Jan 27, 2020: Network's own website now specifies that this set is "European TV standard - PAL only: 25fps video, may not play on all devices internationally. Please do check your player's user manual." BUYER BEWARE! CHECK YOUR PLAYERS BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE!

Update: march 17, 2020: Good news! Network sent my replacement discs for this set and they arrived today. They work!! Many thanks to Network for fixing this issue. It's nice to see a company that cares about its customers. If you've had playability problems with your set, be sure to contact Network for assistance.

Boden Boi, I have checked all the discs on two different blu ray players. One player gets audio only, no video, and the other player will not even recognize the discs. The discs are basically coasters. i have contacted Network about the problem and they have told me they are looking into this problem for me.

@@omegablu6881 From an Amazon review: "it is possible that your Blu-Ray player will not play this, as it's been mastered in 1080i, not native 1080p. My cheap Samsung 4k player would not, whereas my high-end Panasonic would."
For the record, I have a cheap old Toshiba Blu Ray player and it works fine for me on that and the LG Blu Ray drive in my PC. USA copy.

@@btnb I've contacted Network again, since the holiday rush is now over and I did receive a response. Apparently, Network sent me the wrong discs. There are 50i discs out there that play just fine in England and elsewhere, but only on some players here in the USA.
Network told me they are currently working on manufacturing replacement discs. These discs are 60i and WILL play on players here in the USA. The discs actually HAVE been Region-Free all along, but the 50i content doesn't always play here in the USA. I have an old Panasonic and a Sony portable blu ray player and neither can play 50i content. I've been told by Network that they will get the corrected discs sent to me once they've been manufactured. Hope this helps!

I have reached out to Network, the company that manufactures this set and they have replied back to me. They have stated that these discs ARE region free, but they have been getting reports that some blu ray players have been having trouble playing them. They are looking into the problem and have promised to get back to me. Hopefully replacements discs will be coming soon!

I contacted Network and they told me that they are having issues with some blu ray players not playing the discs. They said they were looking into it and will get back to me. Glad yours work! I'm really bummed out...
