lol, they spelled transmission wrong.
I missed that bus cause the last time I was on the bus in that city was November 1992
The text is inaccurate. The buses did not have manual transmissions, they had STANDARD STEERING, which is what she was describing. This is what passes for "accurate" reportage from the CBC.
I want you to consider that the buses might have had standard steering _and_ manual transmissions.
Since the text about transmissions did not appear on screen when she was describing standard steering, it's probable you are just conflating two sequential pieces of information.
