@Mini Cooper Trooper Adam Lambert sucks balls, I would listen to this guy in Freddie's place any day...... He's slower paced but has Freddie's passion and emotion..... Lambert was just a cheap replacement to keep the gigs coming. Some bands like Motorhead realized that when Lemmy passed, Motorhead should be laid to rest as well so as to not tarnish a well deserved legacy and go out on top.....let's face it, who could you possibly get to replace Lemmy's one of a kind voice and singing style and do the music justice?......you can't. Queen should have died with Freddie...... It would have been the best tribute that they could have givin him. Sometimes money rules over good judgement and morals.
PAUL has been my very fav Singer my all time love. He taught me how to Love music as much as I do... But Freddy, there's no comparison. Both equally amazing ❤️
Paul Rodgers is one of the best singers in the world. Any band would want it as a frontman. Ok Freddie is Freddie, he was the best ever. But Brian May always said this was a collaboration. This live version is amazing.
Rodrigo Silva I love him and I like him singing with the band better than Adam Lambert. Rogers has sold and even though Adam is humble and everything, he’s a little bit over-the-top to be at his age and a new performer with the band. Paul Rogers is more experienced and I like the smoothness of his voice even though he doesn’t seem nearly with the range that Freddie did.
Paul Rodgers has SOUL!!! His voice is quite remarkable. Of course, nothing is better than Freddie Mercury on the original recording of this most powerful song...but, Rodgers is a true pleasure to hear. This performance really moves me to tears. Beautiful!
My two all-time favourite singers are Paul Rodgers and Freddie Mercury. I can't believe I've never come across this before. With Freddie gone, only Paul could do true justice to this! Wow!
The Other Guys Classic Rock Band yess!! It’s awesome and I like him singing with the band better than Adam Lambert and I don’t mean that in a bad way. Adam is younger and less experienced and Adam screams a lot.
@BAZ INGA Boo hoo you ! Paul Rodgers is a fantastic singer...he is not trying to be Freddie. Freddie was a showman in his own right and he was fantastic. To quote...The Show Must Go On....

@@stevenprice6957 I have to disagree with you. Guess we’ll just have to wait until Adam is 60 to see about that. Oh, and Adam would lose his voice if he was screaming..
I was expecting to hate this. No Freddie, no Queen and all that. Why then am I sat here with a huge grin on my face? That was truly wonderful. Colour me impressed.
Outstanding performance and what a way of taking a song so closely associated with Freddies style, and turning it into his own. Clearly this shows Pauls amazing talent. Of course nobody could duplicate Freddies style and Paul is wise to not try. He adds his own style and flare and makes it work, not competing with the original.
Wow, just wow, i never heard Paul, but now i think, he is equal to Freddie, feelings in his voice so powerful, i think he can sing with Queen and be the frontman of this band
A very Happy 72nd Birthday Paul Bernard Rodgers, December 17th 1949 Middlesbrough, Yorkshire also, a Canadian citizen. From Free to Bad Company to The Firm to The Law to Queen and of course your solo work.. Your a rock music Icon. Thank you for being born today..
A coworker had an extra ticket to Bad Company a few years back and God damn, I was not prepared for how tight they sounded. Some singers lose it a bit as they get older, but Paul and the rest of the boys were absolutely perfect!
Paul rodgers has got a wonderful voice he´s not trying to be Freddie mercury, Paul keep his voice much better than Robert Plant, Ian gillan ....I LIKE THIS VERSION
Freddie was exceptional - lets be honest - BUT...the technique, feel and voice and in fairness in his 60s here - is just unreal - does something to me - gets me emotional every time - and I don't think Freddie ever had chance to sing this live which means its special. Adam Lambert has an unreal voice too - but the history, gravel and tone in Paul Rodgers voice is next level - one of the best of All time
I see a lot of comments saying don't compare to Freddie. Well, I actually think that in terms of vocal performance on stage, live, Paul is up there with anyone. Remember this is him at a rather mature age, and he still sounds amazing. I love Freddie, but I would like for anyone to refer me to a stage performance where Freddie performed one of the more difficult queen songs as they sound on record. It's not easy to find. So don't compare Paul to Freddie's record performance of this song. Sadly, he wasn't in a state to perform this song live.
Have you not heard of Free ('All Right Now') or Bad Company ('Can't Get Enough')? My favourite rock singer, his voice has barely changed since the late 1960's.
I love the way Paul sings this song... it's one of the best songs ever written, and few people can cover it well. Paul Rodgers and Mottek are the only two I've ever heard who sing it anything like as well as Freddie.
Uh, I just love how he is doing his own singing. He can go higher with voice, but he didn't. For sure, Freddy would love his version. Both amazing.. ❤❤

Saw them years ago...in a bit of a fog. It was an amazing experience. Such a vibe, and such a tribute. F the Haters....
Great performance! Must have been amazing to be there live. I do think though, that from a sentimental standpoint, this song will always and forever belong to Freddie. He never got to sing it live, which is a shame. And even though Brian did not intend for the lyrics to connect to Freddie's impending death, you cannot help but connect it. The way Freddie sang this song so beautifully and with such a haunting edge - and only MONTHS before he died -- well, that just won't ever be forgotten.
There's a reason why it's called Queen + Paul Rodgers. Paul is very well aware that he isn't Freddie, and he damn well isn't trying to be. He's showing Freddie the upmost respect by performing the track as himself, and not trying to impersonate or replace Freddie. It's a different twist - and I have to be honest; I absolutely love this rendition.
well where did you hear Paul hitting high notes in his performance? Do you have enough ears to hear that he cut down all high notes which always used to be in this song, he in fact destroyed the glorious song by making it unrecognisable and transposing it down to a lower key. But even in the lower key he couldn’t sing it properly. His range is limited
Freddie is my favorite singer, but this is just as good if not a better performance than Freddie's. Very emotional. He sang it his own way and poured so much soul into it. I don't get it how you don't hear it. Yes, it is EPIC

They didn't want Paul to be the next Freddie. They just wanted to continue jammin as queen and they all respected Paul as a singer and so do I, Free is one of my all time favorite bands.
