Pilgrimage to Cythera by Jean-Antoine Watteau

Pilgrimage to Cythera by Jean-Antoine Watteau is one of art history's most influential art pieces in the 1700s. Also referred to as Embarkation for Cythera, it's approval into the French Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture and the creation of a new genre (Fete Gelante) it inspired, ushered in the Rococo Art Movement.
