  • Series of issues making this excavator the worse to work with, definitely a new experience for me…. On the positive side is that it offered us an opportunity to play around with the hydraulic of the excavator, if we ever need to do work on it. Come see what we discover.

Jason would you say the travel motors are somewhat universal for these 1.5t excavators? Or does each supplier make their own proprietary version? Thanks!

I guess sometimes you get unlucky with these cheap machines. How is your landscape buddy holding up Jason? How many hours? It's great you are sharing both positive and negatives about these machines so people understand what they are getting themselves into. I know someone else on another channel had a leaking drive motor and it was just an o-ring problem. So I guess it never hurts to open it up.

The basic units that I have for job are still running storing. Put at least 10-15 hrs every month, sometimes more.

Hi Jason. What was the reason for adjusting the relief valve? How was it adjusted and what did the adjustment do?

I’ll make a maintenance video of it in the near future. Basically the excavator need proper hydration press to function properly. Have a great day!

I’m curious too. Is this a relief valve for the hydraulics going to the drive gear? Thanks

@@jasonyeh99 Hi, Jason. I don't know how I missed this video of yours. Since that machine has pilot controls, you have TWO relief valves to set properly. Interesting how that particular unit uses a remotely-mounted RV. The other machine I adjusted had them both attached to the main valve stack. I may have mentioned that when we last spoke on the phone.
As for the leaking wheel motor seals, others report that failure, probably due to dirty, unfiltered oil. You may be able to just replace the seal. I do have a couple of spare wheel motors here, if you need them.
