@@LTOutdoors15 oh for sure. I had read somewhere that it was treated with aquatic herbicide in the 80s to make more room for the walleye. There are very few weeds and big areas of muck bottom. We always do pretty well if we stick near the sparse patches of vegetation or fishing the smaller cover in no mans land (muck). We've pulled several 15- 20 pound pike out of the same undisclosed area for several years. The barren bottom makes the lake full of crayfish which leads to ridiculously fat smallies for their length too.
😂 nope I didnt want wet feet that day. I actually brought along a new product to show too. It's a manual sub pump, worked great pumping the water out lol
Kinda depends on the lake. If the lake lacks structure then theyll be hugging any bit of structure they can find. If the lake has a weed edge that follows the drop offs theyll be right along that, and if it's a shallower lake with weeds and structure everywhere theyll be in the little pockets. Any small opening you may find in a weed bed will be teaming with fish
@@nickbarrett3607 😊 that means alot to me man!! Thank you!! My next one will is scheduled for 6 a.m tomorrow so itll be on in the morning 😊 I just figured out how to schedule them so itll help me catch up and hopefully get ahead of myself a bit. I'm excited to catfish tomorrow night though, hoping for a monster
We were just up in that neck of the woods. Kind of weird to get to the au sable sites at Foote dam pond you have to pull in to Cooke dam. Had a blast camping on the river. Couldn’t catch a fish to save my life but the kids had a blast swimming.
Oh man. So much good fishing down through there! I wish I could have gotten with you while you were up. It's so beautiful down there though definitely hard to beat the tranquility
Can you tell me were at on cooke pond you were?? we were just there this weekend and didn't get into em hardly, and ended up getting smallies on foote pond instead
Great video man! I've never seen quite a setup that you are using there, with what looks like a lure at the bottom with spinners and other items in the middle with a bobber (?) Can you share more of how you have that setup? Thx!
Hey Ryan!! Thanks for watching man! Actually it's nothing more than a slip bobber with a swivel underneath, attached to the swivel I have one of my homemade single hook panfish spinners. With a leaf worm on the hook. It always seems to beat a plain hook and worm, that bit of flash catches their attention 😊🤛🎣
Weird thing is it's not the reel, that sound is mostly the line pulling through the eyes on the rod, I don't know why it's so noisy. That reel is actually my newest, only the 3rd time I've used it lol
LT - Do you make rigs like the one you were using to catch Perch and other pan fish? There probably is a market out there for that. PS Pan fish (aside from walleye) is the best and most fruitful fishing.
I sure do! I actually sell my perch harnesses for $2 they work really well through the ice with a shiner minnow. I couldnt agree more though panfish and walleye are amazing. I might have the harnesses on my website I can't remember. Www.ltoutdoors.com
Nice perch
Thanks! Sure made a good meal
Awesome video. Great bunch of perch for a fish fry buddy.
Thanks!!! Its one of my favorite places to perch fish
Yea...definitely some new bearing grease!!!!
I ended up getting a new reel. I'm really like the inline
Nothing more chill than watching the bobber drop on some panfish. Looks like you ended up with a nice mess
Its definitely a great time! We had a few pike smash the bobbers too but I didn't get them on camera lol.
Yes fried perch, home fries, fresh greens and tomatoe salad, sweet tea, heaven!!!!
Indeed
😊🙌🎣 absolutely! Such a great meal
of course you the slabaddict approves of this this...tight lines brotha!!
😊🤛🙌 thanks brother!! Hope you've been well man!! I'm gonna try and get on some bluegills next week🤛🎣
nice job on the perch, they make a tasty meal or two, awesome
😊 thanks!! They sure do. Definitely one of my favorites
Been catching big cats and walleye at the Holloway dam
I might have to make a trip. I've always wanted to fish that
@@LTOutdoors15 Its always a blast catch a little of everything there its only 15 minutes from my place so fish there quite often.
I've heard alot of good things about it. I'll definitely have to plan a trip!

@@nickbarrett3607 absolutely brother!!
That's a good fish dinner or two!
Absolutely 😊 I got 2 quart bags out of them so definitely 2 great meals😊🎣
Nice haul! We cracked the perch on hubbard today too.
Heck yeah!! That's a great time. I need to get out and film another episode on Hubbard
@@LTOutdoors15That would be cool! We fish it all the time. Old mother hubbard is a tricky lake but there's alot of nice fish if you can find them.
@@dylangeiger6394 that's very true. I do think the should focus more stocking efforts though. Theres alot of empty water out there

What kind of structure do you look for when searching for perch? Search the weeds on large or small weedy flats? Base of drop offs or top of them???
