@@SaplingTarot I made an unboxing video of the Gourmet Tarot ( ruclips.net/video/BDrSjlCy56Q/видео.htmlsi=2KGRT5Ie6y8vu0nK ), if you're interested in watching it (you don't have to of course haha). You talked about an anime food tarot in your video, and I think of the Gourmet Tarot as being anime-style food. Ghibli, specifically. I don't know how good the mass market one is, but the Gourmet Tarot is really smartly done! The images, while being just food, really do a good job connecting to the meaning of the card (RWS). 🙂
Ooo, if you like it then I'll definitely be keeping my eye on it! The oil pastels are such a gorgeous and unique medium, they create such beautiful depth to the art!
@SaplingTarot I don't mean to be alarmist. Sorry. I have my own issues with the publisher. And their choice of card stock. But in hindsight my comment wasn't useful, except maybe algorithm baiting. Bah.
It feels like a deck that should already exist, I'm so excited to see more about it, I hope they do it justice! (Tarot pun not intended) The witch therapy deck looks like it could be wonderful, or it could be the most infuriatingly milquetoast deck ever hahaha, we shall see!
I've never heard of TABI so that was really interesting to hear about. I'll have to have a nosey today. I find the selection of creations to be weirder each year lol, but I imagine they're trying to hit every potential taste and niche. This was a fun time though
Ahh thank you for watching sweet, the variety is truly bananas sometimes, especially on the mass market, like you say, really trying to appeal to every possible taste! From billionaires to drag queens and everyone in between
Ooh, I don't know about a specific American equivalent, but TABI has loads of international members! They even renamed to Tarot Association of Britain and International (members) - clunky but more inviting!
Ok so hear me out, an oracle deck, but it's the art of that guy who painted self portraits on different substances. Or when scientists got spiders to spin webs under the influence. Or a mix of the two. I feel like we're onto something here.
@@SaplingTarot honestly, take my money! It sounds much better than most of the oracles that are around at the moment 🙄🫣😂 I'd rather take the advice from of a spider on LSD
It’s a genre I hadn’t considered and I’m itching for a bit of a research rabbit hole, also I want to think about what foods I would associate with each card…
The cross-stitch is actually kinda cool lol.
oooo and I really like the Fermentation Oracle! I feel like that would pair well with my Gourmet Tarot.
Right? What a cute little detail, I've not seen anything like it before!
And now I need to look up the Gourmet Tarot!!

ooo I'll definitely watch, thank you for the link!!
Whaaaat an expanded Mindscapes! ❤ (first deck and I'm in) I have the majors deck and adore it.

I really like the majors, but HayHouse 😢😢😢😢. Happy for the creator though.
oh no! what's wrong with hay house?!

@@Jo_-_-t.a haha that’s totally ok, thank you for clarifying! I get what you mean about their card stock, it’s definitely not my favourite
Ooooh exciting there’s a beetlejuice deck!!! lol 😂 ❤❤❤❤ and omgsh I hope that therapy deck isn’t just yoga too 🤣

The billionaire tarot is the most cursed thing I've ever seen. Someone out there really did think "What if divination...but with capitalism? 👀👀👀" 🤣🤦
Right?! The manifestation boss babes have really gone too far this time.

So cool that you work with TABI! I wish we had something similar here in the States. Not sure if the ATA is still around?
