I filmed one of the 4 MPV's in East kilbride a couple weeks ago. I noticed on RTT that something was coming in at 21:30 - just had to go down and have a nosey 😅. Nice collection of clips as always Leslie.
The Swiss use MPV in threes and fours as Fire and tunnel rescue trains. One vehicle with a tank for foam and water and pumps, a equipment vehicle, a rescue vehicle (capacity 60 people injured or not) and have the ability using all the units power to rescue passenger and freight trains to safety. The sets with 4 units have either a second tank and pumps, a second rescue vehicle or a road vehicle transporter to give extra spray capacity.
Well, someone in Scotland went home with mucky fingers! However, the info is wrong. Royal Highland Fusiliers (55019 (D9019)) was a Haymarket (64B or HA) locomotive. You look as if you have been tonsorially treated recently.
Great one once again Leslie, at this rate there will not be many fright trains left as oil ,mail and coal trains all gone ,,, what will be left next year ? 🙃

Thats useful to know. I think the Network Rail ones are used on RHTTs and as weedkilling trains. They really are more useful though.
Has TPE moved the 802 to long distance routes?
@@melissasmith5109 they have been allocated to three returns Edinburgh/ Manchester on weekdays for over a year
