hp drain is better for support now, since they can just add it on and have (pretty much) no drawback

Most tank builds already have low attack anyway due to stuff like resurrect and defender. To compare how op hp drain is compared to something like hp+, 3 hp drains heal 3 hp every turn, compared to 1 hp+ which only grants+5 hp and +1 ice dagger healing

For a little info why your damage is low, both HP and SP drain lower your attack, causing you to deal less damage than before. Anyways, only got one tip this time:
-Equipping multiple copies of the same card will increase its effect.
(edit note: attack lowering also applies to cure and resurrect!)

Helpful tips without spoilers!
-Damage: you can usually do a lot more. Read the card descriptions, and your little box in battle. The -3 with the sword indicates less damage. Now that you have dynamite, try timing the explosion on enemies so you get a +2 atk at the beginning of battle instead of +1.
-Items: you can discard or sell unwanted items, like worms, or bombs. With items that cause a status effect, there is a proc% on the enemies health bar before you use the item, which is item accuracy, if you will.
-SP/HP: there is a card you can buy with bux that reduces your sp move cost by one. Little healing items can heal you up in battle.
-Jim: go past the beige chalet back in Road Town. Jim will give you something.

It’s highly recommended to do the most DPS you can. So just incase here are all of the cards that lower attack.
remember its for chapter 1
- Resurrect
- Cure
- HP Drain
- SP Drain
- Defender (+1 DEF)
In Chapter 1, if you wanna use these cards at the same time. Ball is the better option to attack with because the second hit for ball is ALWAYS 1 damage! also a lil fact about HP Drain is that it delays your death from mortal damage

A few tips for you:
No. 1: If you use dynamite to hit a enemy you get plus two first strike damage instead of the normal one from sword or ball
No. 2: There's a guy in bizville at holds a sign, If you interact with him you can donate to the game and get an exclusive gold animation at makes you do backflips

25:47 If you went to the left then you would've found Jim (the guy stuck under the rocks you freed) And is you interacted with him he would give you an item thats really good
tip: drain sp and hp cards lower your atk thats why you normally do 1 damage and 2 or 3 damage using dynamite on an enemy, also back at the sketchy man you can get another card for (i think) 5 bux called Ante Up, You get +1 atk but it costs 5 BP and cuts the green bar thing short making it a bit harder to get a critical hit (and if you miss the critical hit you do no damage), pair Ante Up with Knight and you'll do 4 dmg
Some tips for your journey:
1. There are some great cards in the Bux shop. If you are worried about SP management I would recommend Sp saver.
2. You can change your stats in the Bizville Library for Tix. (Hp, SP, and BP)
3. If you are not using the Cure and Resurrect, don't have them equipped since they reduce damage (the -3 above the sword on your player card).
4. The castle has secrets, some accessible later on so make sure to go back to it. You can also lower the drawbridge outside for easier access. There is an exit down from the ice cream stand where you can go outside.

Don’t forget you can also counter!!
Defend turns into pass only if you're solo and you do an action (since you get 2 turns if you fight solo) to prevent people from attacking then defending to slightly cheese bosses (I did it during demo 1 on floor 19)
Defending also skips your extra turn

*!IMPORTANT!* You had -3 damage near the end because you were using cards that lower damage. Always pay attention to both the buffs and debuffs when equipping new cards.
Was watching the last part yesterday wondering when the next one would be out, and now I'm watching this one! Really enjoying the playthrough so far!
Your going to be having a good time playing the later chapters.... They get really good, both story wise and gameplay wise.
- There is a card named "Ante Up" that increases your attack by 1 permenantly but it halves the action bar thingy, and if you miss the action you deal no damage, it's risky but really good.

@@Green10434 at first you will struggle, but after a while you will be able to do it consistently, now I don't play block tales all that much but I can confidently beat block tales hard mode with ante up equipped.
Tips:
In the bizvile library you can change your stats (HP/SP/BP) but you’ll have to spend your tix
The max level (as of chapter 3) is 15, after that you’ll no longer earn xp and be able to level up, upgrade wisely.
I recommend you spend the rest of your upgrades on bp once your comfortable with your hp and sp, this is so you wont have to unequip cards everytime you get a new one.

Tips:
- Incase if you're wanting to use items like Ice Storm or any other that is similar, I'm gonna be warning ya: Some bosses/minibosses are immune to some status effects. Keep that in mind!
- I hope you noticed already, but cards like HP DRAIN, SP DRAIN, REVIVE or CURE lower your dmg by 1. With this being said, normal sword hits (with knight) would had been 2 damage instead of 1. (Nice! Hits would be considered 3 dmg in this case.) And if powerstabbed: 3 dmg instead of 1, and nice hits are 4 dmg.
- You have a card that is extremely useful and very helpful in certain fights incase you're doing constant blocks when enemies are attacking. This card is Safe Guard. Everytime you block, Enemies will do 1 damage less.

the knight card increases sword damage by 1, not 2.
so, since using the sword and failing the action command only deals one damage, and successfully doing it (Nice! hits) does 2 without the knight card, the knight card will increase the damage of the failed hit, and the Nice! hit, making the max output 3 damage.

Here are some tips!
In the settings, there is a option that will kill all enemies in the hub world if they try to attack you. They must be under your level, tho. It's good for travelling so you don't have to deal with enemies.
Go back to roadtown, Jim has a gift outside the building. I'm surprised you missed him
Your items that cause a effect to happen to enemies (like freeze) have different percentages depending on what they are, kinda how like how water Pokemon beats fire ones. But some may be just be too strong and the percentage for it is incredibly low!
You can check the stats of enemies in your diary, its in the menu.
yub, heres some tips: 1: Focus on enemys with items first, as they can be op, do NOT underestimate the difficulty of some bosses and enemys, to parry better try to find a certain spot where if you click you can land a counter, then look for it and repeat, get the ice storm card, its 1 of the best items in the game for crowd control, get the happy HP which is obtainable without wasting bux, its actually really good, Yes, you can upgrade your damage by getting a better weapon. (well thats the most i can help without finding you in block tales so heres some unrelated stuff) Play pilgrammed, its actually a really good game.

I got a couple tips:
Defend! You not only gain SP from defending but attacks will do less damage when you’re defending.
How exactly attack works: The way attack works is that when you equip a card that does -1 attack, you LITERALLY do -1 attack. Your sword will have its damage reduced by 1. The reason why at the start you were still doing decent damage is because the sword gains +1 attack when you have the knight card. Meaning if you had nothing but the knight card, you would have 3 base damage.
The sword toss is good against enemies with 1 Defense, as it penetrates their armor and will hit them as if they had zero armor.
Finally, once you think you’re powerful enough… head to the bizville sewers. There’s a special challenge that gives you prizes the further you go. Warning though, it’s VERY HARD. I would suggest only doing it once you’re halfway through chapter 2.
When you defend your blocking window is also doubled.

11:38 there is a card that makes the ball unable to pop and its called "Cannonball", works as a passive card, however it is not in chapter 1
another tip: you should try clicking RIGHT as the enemy hits you, once you see the frame where the enemy lands the hit on you then click! this makes you superguard easily (do know the fact some animation flavors can make it harder to notice this) it also works by listening for a heavy sound cue that sounds like a hit

Here’s a tip for you, you were right about the mouse holes, I don’t want to spoil you, but there’s a card you get in the castle in the kitchen, and it shrinks you, allowing you to go through small holes, (to progress) and also find hidden secrets. The mouse hole you mentioned before, is a secret! But, you also need another card, which is from chapter two. I won’t spoil you on that, though.

The cure and resurrect cards stack which means their - damage also stacks that’s why you dealt less damage so be careful on which cards you put on your build, also there is a spot you can fish in the area before the cave area.

Alright, time for some MORE tips!
- It's not the best idea to have -2 attack, since you become really squishy, so either unequip the SP drain card or HP drain (my advice would be to unequip HP drain, since SP is really important for a sword build)
- When you level up, go for BP, it lets you equip more cards
HP and SP drain both cost one attack to equip so in the future, you would not want to have them equipped and trade it out for something like happy SP
Happy SP is not that good though, if he wants to save SP he should consider using something like SP Saver or just having more SP-recovering items
Happy sp is really good ITS AMAZING IF YOU ALSO HAVE HAPPY HP
But ice dagger can mostly replace happy sp and keep your sp up almost all the time
@Mr-rootbar77 I'd agree if the "happy cards" worked better in solo, as with 2 actions each turn you get a much better SP return from using Focus and Ice Dagger when trading out for SP+/SP upgrades (which increases the returns of Ice Dagger), in solo "happy cards" activate every 3 turns but with the extra action you'd have to wait 6 moves before it activates, and enemies usually die, it holds up better in bossfights though. I really wanted to makea regen build but frankly the cards don't hold up in solo though I still recommend trying it.

also yub if you see this, theres a build that lets you deal 5 damage each hit without power stab which is
"knight" +1 damage but removes ball slot
"ante up" halves the action command window but lets you deal +1 damage (0 damage if you miss)
you can also add "power rush" to deal +1 damage when hp is in danger (5 or less)
but you also need to progress through the story to get another +1 damage to reach 5

Yub, get 8 bux to get SP saver and Ante Up. SP saver will reduce all SP moves by 1 and ante up is a passive +1 attack but attack windows are tighter and if you fail your attack does 0 damage but it does allow you to deal beeg boi damage.

hey yub! some helpful tips for block tales:
there is a sword upgrade in chapter 2 so you can stop worrying
once you pass this chapter (chapter one) you will be able to access the oce dagger and west bizville which unlocks some cool stuff in the future!

Tip: I’ve said this before in another video, but in roadtown inn, there’s a big guy named “gros” upstairs who complains because he can’t fit in his own room. Downstairs inside of the roadtown inn, there’s a small shop to the left, and he sells a magnifying glass to you. If you buy it, and then give it to the big guy, he will shrink back to normal size, and give you an item that makes you do two more damage for three turns, but the downside is you can’t superguard / counter.

For knights to be easier, you can unequip the health and sp drain cards, since they both reduce damage, the resurrect card also reduces damage, and you probably won’t need it

also, in the next chapter, there are two new weapons that are both good in their own respects, but replace either the ball or sword slot. just something to think about (they cost 300 tix in chap 2 and 150 in chap 3 later on)

Can’t find the exact timestamp, but there does exist a card to make your balls unpoppable! You can find the cannonball card in chapter 2 hidden in a corner of a room.

8:25 you do get a damage upgrade in the next chapter, it’s the iron sword, the iron sword lets you cut bushes like at 7:53
2:37 a big reason, specifically for your circumstance as a solo player, is how the turns for happy cards work.
In multiplayer, each player only gets action per turn, where solo clearly gets two.
these cards used to work twice as fast in previous versions of the game, in solo battles due to more actions, but have now been adjusted to take 6 WHOLE SOLO TURNS to work.
Right now, it's just better to pop a healing item, or use HP Drain if you have a specialized build. they will eventually be buffed to 4 solo turns, but it could be awhile until that change is here.
Block tales? Why, you’ve got something against slab tales?
The gameplay loop of slab tales gets repetitive really fast imo
Tips:
Since you’re close to chapter 2, be prepared for attacks that want you to dodge multiple times.
You should help someone a magnifying glass in Roadtown Inn, heard he gives you a good limited item
Using the dynamite to start a fight will be useful
The sword and (Something related to the sword 👀) is the best weapon
With mashing attacks (dynamite) are easy if you use, space bar, E, and both shift keys (with Anti-up on)
It’s possible to (KINDA) play with controller, Bluetooth, or on any console (but switch)
The item Jim gives you is one of the best items in the game (Jim is in front of Monty’s house)
Sword is the best weapon mfs when they notice ball can do 2 damage over it than it if used correctly

Hey yub. To answer your question: you DO get damage upgrades through the game, in chapters 2 and 3. Hope it helps!
Free tips that can help you
1. Do not use Hp and Sp Drain they're terrible because it does -1 damage when you equip both of them, which means it lowers your attack.
2. Use power stab its really useful on enemies that are hard to beat, you can just use bloxy cola that gives you 5 sp.
3. When you strike first with sword/ball it does +1 damage but when you strike enemies with dynamite it does +2 damage i suggest doing that.
4. Try to learn how to dodge perfectly by using training wheels it might take awhile.
5. SPOILER: Use your items because in later game there will be much much more item to collect
6. You can use dynamite to pierce the enemies defense for example the knight in the castle they have defense which mean you can use dynamite to use it.
7. Try to collect as much bux as possible.
8. Go to jim in roadtown he will give you an secret item its in outside of mayor monty's house.
9. When you want to deal more damage try to equip knight card and use power stab on enemies for powerful damage.
10. Bosses can really be hard so try to get a good setup of items before encountering the boss.

My advice for practicing blocking is that there is a sound that play when you try to block nothing. If you hear the sound before getting hit, it means the button press was too early and if there was no sound, it means you block to late (I'm bad at describing sounds but it's the same sound you hear when you press space bar way before getting hit).
Defending or passing can restore 1 SP, which isn't ideal but is an option.
Also your max attack debuff is -3 (which you already have) so the -1 attack of cure and ressurect doesn't apply anymore.
Hey YuB! If you're wondering how to get a new weapon, here are all the weapons you get in the entire game!
1. Ball. You get the ball at the start of the game
2. Wooden sword. You get the wooden sword after defeating Red and Blue in the bridge at Roblox HQ and Shedletsky gives it to you.
3. Dynamite. After you go to the mayor, you are tasked to find his son, Accountant Jim, he is under a boulder and you are given the option to run with the Dynamite or save him. (If you save him, you can go back to Roadtown and meet him there and then he gives you a whole pizza that heals 50 hp but if you leave him, you get a badge when you defeat the cruel king)
4. Ice dagger. At the end of Demo 1, you fight the Cruel King which is a boss fight like the other boss fights where the boss can attack and call for allies, but! The boss can also heal and if you defeat the boss you get the Ice Dagger and complete chapter 1.
5. Slingshot/Rocket. You can get them in the next chapter at a certain location where you can buy cards and weapons and two of those being the Slingshot and Rocket, the Rocket replaces the ball and the Slingshot replaces the Sword, the Slingshot does more damage but can't hit enemies that have 1 defense.
6. Rocket boots. In chapter 2, there is a Komodo Dragon boss fight and after you beat the Komodo Dragon, you need to use the shrink ability to get through a gap and then a Komodo Dragon gives you the rocket boots card.
7. Iron sword. In the forest, you will find an iron sword before Bigfoot takes it, at some point in the game, you fight Bigfoot and after you defeat him, you can get the iron sword.
8. Venomshank. Like the Ice dagger, you need to complete the chapter. the final boss of chapter 2 is Griefer, which you find multiple times, he has two phases, but technically three since before fighting Bigfoot, you fight him without the Venomshank but in the final fight, he has a Venomshank before stabbing himself and turning into Bubonic Plant.
9.Ghost Potion. In chapter 3, you find the chef that gives you the shrink card in chapter 1. When you find him, he requires you to get ingredients scattered around the Manor. After you do that he gives you the Ghost Potion.
10. Superball. Some time in chapter 3, you find the Superball, a yellow version of the ball which you can use out of battle by pressing space twice, it does more damage than the ball. Before you grab it, you are stopped by Jason Vorhees (Slasher) before making you go in a fight. (I forgot how many hp and attacks he has XD)
11. Ghostwalker. Just like Venomshank and Ice dagger. It is obtained at the end of Chapter 3 where you have to fight four different emotions and each emotion has a puzzle that you need to complete, in the end, you have to fight Hatred. The final boss, he has three attacks, one that does 60 damage that needs you to use the Ghost potion, he has 50 hp which makes him hard to beat.
Alright and here's what they do!
1. You can use it outside and inside fights, you can throw it at enemies and you get +1 attack at the start of your fight. It can be used on flying and land enemies but not enemies with spikes. You can also press space to throw the ball at enemies again. You can also use it to break pillars in Black rock castle.
2. You can also use it outside and inside fights, you can break wood but can't break bushes. You'll have to hold it down and land it on green to do the max amount of damage without a card.
3. You can use it outside and inside fights aswell, you can break red walls with it outside fights. You'll have to spam space to max out the damage without any cards.
4. It heals you by I forgot and also restores your hp, that's it.
5. You cannot use the Rocket outside fights, you need to land the circle onto the dot to fire it, but if you mess up, it does no damage. It also lowers the enemy's defense by 1.
6. Exact same as Dynamite but you can't use it outside fights. It does more damage btw.
7. Exact same as wooden sword but does more damage and breaks bushes.
8. You send a slash at the enemy and it does 2 damage and poison the enemy, that's it.
9. You can use it inside and outside fights. In fights, you use it to not get hit but get tired making you not go on that turn. outside fights, it can make you phrase through objects if there's a conveyor belt. You can also phase through objects like wrecking balls at some point in the game, you also need to use it in the puzzle for Hatred.
10. Same as Ball but can hit the ground by pressing space twice and does more damage. That's it.
11. Same as Ghost potion but you don't get tired and it does it for 2 turns.
By the way, YuB, you get Sword Energy at the end of Chapter 1. You need sword energy to use Ice dagger, Venomshank, and Ghostwalker. You'll need 1 Sword Energy for Ice dagger and Venomshank, but for Ghostwalker, you need 2 Sword Energy.

There are cards that increase damage (i think its only knight and baller) but in chapter 2 theres an iron sword, which is either 1 or 2 more damage than the wooden sword. Also, the sword upgrade lets you cut down bushes, which helps you uncover more secrets. Also, you can use cards like dynamite in a battle, specifically with dynamite, you spam space to do the most damage. Enemies drop better items later, so you don't really need to save items, but keep some.
Cards like ante up and a card I forgot the name of but when your low on health it gives +1 on all attacks

quick tip:when pressing R, click on maps to fast travel to areas you have already visited.(you can also press R again to close the menu.)
If you use dynamite before you start battle you get twice more damage rather then using the sword and getting +1 more attack 🧨🗡️

I started playing with training wheels but the negative side was a very bad thing for me but it kinda just stuck with me and I like the new version more then the old version tbh
Here are a few extra tips!
1. Dynamite: when used in battle, it can do up to 4 damage, but can be lowered if you have atk down cards, or if you fail to get the bar too 100% but it also pierces all defense! Oh and if you hit an overworld enemy with it, you start with a 2 damage strike boost, instead of the basic 1 from ball and sword. Though it can be hard to pull off.
2. To restore SP without having to use cards, you can either defend, or pass! Defending gives you 1 SP, 1 defense, and increases your guarding window for that turn! The downside is that you can’t attack, and then defend right after. It will force you to pass, which just gives you 1 SP and no other boosts for the turn. Some enemies also have higher speed, meaning they go before your passing turn if you were to attack. Items, cards, and passing, ALL go before the enemies attacking though! Small hint: you can also check in strategies to see what type of speed you have. If you have defend, that means you have the higher speed of certain enemies! If you have pass, that means certain enemies will go before you though, if you were too attack.
Edit: (I know this might seem a little bit complicated, but I hope it helps you out!)

Yo Yub, if you walk outside Mayor Monty's Hall, walk to the left, youll find Jim, he gives u something great, but it goes in your inventory so u need to use something before talking to Jim
YuB if your wondering what the worm does its just for fishing at the fishing spot which the name makes sense who wants to even eat a worm (you can get a whale there)
I’m surprised you managed to beat Sentient Statue first try with that -3 attack debuff because of the cards you were using.
Anyway here’s some more tips for you:
- Dynamite can be used the same way as Ball and Sword to get a first-strike damage buff, but you gain 2 extra damage instead of 1.
- Cards that provide support/utility often come with the downside of -1 Attack, -1 Defense or have a high SP cost. Keep that in mind when choosing which cards to use.
- Some attacks have really tight timing windows for dodging, just a small heads-up as the final boss of Chapter 1 requires quite a lot of precise timing with dodges.
- You can re-spec your HP, SP and BP by visiting the Bizville Library, which costs Tix, of course. Very useful to trade in extra HP and SP for BP, and vice-versa.
- Sorry for the spoilers, but Chapters 2 and 3 are much harder, so I’d recommend getting used to dodging and countering, as well as levelling up more.
hey yub! please unequip cure and SP/HP drain, because it removes 1 attack, so you could be doing two more damage than youre already doing
also please read the description of every card, especially the cons, they are very important

12:29 hint: The sword build is focused in raw damage, while the ball build is more focused in ultility (frezing, stuning, lowering defense). Of course, some cards CAN make the sword have some ultility outside of damage, but those are more used in support builds.
Tips :
(Also Charge is only useful for max damage builds ,you cant do these in the start so yes it kinda was a mistake)
1 ) Save up bux for ante up/defend+ , defend+ increases defense by 1 when equipped and has no actual cons, the only things you should keep in mind is that it costs 5 bux and 5 bp (spaces that equipped cards ocuppy, when less of these, less cards you can equip, you cant just equip all cards you have that would make the game too easy) and ante up increase attack in general by 1 BUUUUUUUT decreases the size to do an perfect attack and if you dont do an perfect attack the damage will be 0, still worthy it but i recommend you train before actually using it
2 ) Grind the most amount of levels you can, the bosses in the game seem to get harder after each chapter also this game has some twists were the final boss isnt the actual boss so be prepared
3 ) SAVING UP ITEMS IS A MISTAKE, YOU WILL DIE ALOT IF YOU DO (im not kidding, you aint getting past the bosses without items unless you learn how to perfectly block and dodge, except the first ones the first bosses are alyways easy)
4 ) only use hard mode and others hard mode cards (they are in bizville, an guy that is angry sells them, i forgot his name btw) if you want to grind xp, HARD MODE IS TERRIBLE FOR BEGGINERS AND IS STILL HARD EVEN WHEN YOU ARE A PRO (4 times damage, be unable to dodge ,4 times less time to block is a real bad thing, until there's a god at blocking/guarding here, this is hell for everyone)
And 5 ) get i spy card, it's in the arcade an it's for free, you can only get it after getting the shrinking though, dont worry you are very close to it, but you should make more cuts on the video because the game isnt short
when you got to blackrock castle your attacks weren’t doing less because of the knights’ defense, all sword attacks actually pierce half of the target’s defense [will always at minimum pierce 1 defense though]. you were doing less damage because of your -3 attack from stacking cure, hp drain and sp drain

btw, in chapter 2, there will be 2 cards that would replace a certain attack. a slingshot that replaces sword, it works like the dynamite but if you dont have a certain card it will not deal damage to anyone with defense. and there is a rocket launcher that replaces ball. it deals splash damage and depletes defense to an enemy yet deals little to no damage.
