    Some other leather suppliers I've had great success with have been 'OA Leather supply (some very exotic looking veg tan there especially Arif & Sons.) Rocky Mountain Leather Supply (for exotics and their selection of Conceria Walpier Buttero which I use a LOT for interiors.) Also there's District Leather Supply. I love their MPG line and use it a LOT for product shells. Some of it looks a little like Pueblo but the hand isn't so dry. Better oil quality keeping the color richer. I agree with your take on Buckleguy and go there for hardware on occasion. Have a great day. 🌞

    Rawhide is used for drum heads. You can wet it and stretch it yourself.ake a few primitive drum to sell to use up the rawhide.

      District leather supply, Maverick Leather Company, Waterhouse Leather, Buckleguy, Rocky Mountain leather supply, Tandy leather, weaver leather…there are quite a few others but I’ve used these most and have had very good experiences.

    Just about to start my journey into leather craft and got two shoulders 3-4oz and 2-3oz from Weaver Leather Supply. Have you gotten any leather from them?
    Though I’m definitely going to try Buckleguy for leather in the future since they are based out of Mass rather than Ohio like Weaver. Shorter shipping times.
    Great content btw, learning new things from you

    • @reedyrivergoods
      @reedyrivergoods  8 месяцев назад +4

      Weaver is a very solid company. I haven’t purchased much from there but mainly because I’m a creature of habit. I just haven’t found as many places that offer the amount/quality and variety as my top two.
      My most popular/requested leather for my Etsy store is Horween Leather and Buckleguy has all the colors and sizes so it’s been perfect match for me..

    • @anthony-fi
      @anthony-fi 8 месяцев назад +4

      Buying high quality leather. While learning stitching, stamping and general learning it’s just as fun with B grade leather. Cut out the very good parts better projects.

      @@CoreyReed-od6dv especially with free patterns like lighter sheaths. Bank card holders. Key rings. You can make something with a bad bit. It’s not like a sell the bits. These are giveaways or for covering the lighters I use for leather work.
