Bruce Lee was truly a man ahead of his time. He represented the Chinese community very well and made Chinese people all over the world proud of their heritage. RIP brother.
He broke through a lot of barriers, too. His students were from all ethnic groups. He was friends with the top instructors, whether Japanese, American, Korean, Thai, Philippines, etc. Growing up when the Japanese were invading China, he could have easily been prejudiced. Instead, many of his closest friends were Japanese-Americans.
Every time i see a picture of Bruce or i hear someone saying how awesome Bruce is, my heart has a really nice feeling, makes me feel good and Bruce is no longer with us, image what it was like being around Bruce when he was alive, people that were around Bruce at that time have a real special moment in their lives, what a thing to cherish. Those who knew him realized what skills had had, that's why they training with him or allowed him to give them advice. This includes Chuck Norris and others who knew him. If Bruce were not "real," he would not have had so many admirers and supporters among the top competitors in martial arts back in the 1960's and 1970's. One of his top students is Dan Innosanto. If Bruce were fake, why would this top-rate Filipino martial artist work with him, teach him escrima, agree to be 2 of his movies, study his art of "Jeet Kune Do," and continue teaching it today? Bruce Lee wasn't "God," was still learning and evolving in his art before his untimely demise.
