Sometimes it's essential to take one step back to allow yourself to take ten steps forward

Yes man I agree completely, I remember doing nofap/semenretention I had huge urges and sexsual energy so therefore I decided to realise aka one step back, after that I honestly felt refreshed and my mode came up, But from personal experiences It's nothing I highly recommend to do all the time!

Taking a day off and turning off EVERYTHING is my reset. Intentionally forgetting the deadlines and ignoring the notifications to refresh and the next day I feel like I'm ready to tackle the tasks.
When it comes to creativity, I've learned to always jot down stuff and when I'm feeling unmotivated, reviewing those ideas can create a spark. Big fat like bro!

I think everyone will hit a rut eventually, no matter what they're doing. Although easier said than done, challenging yourself to do uncomfortable things is what has gotten me out of various ruts because quarantine has made everything feel more mundane. Dropping knowledge like always my man 🔥

Aha well I see what the end result of "Canadian winters are so cold where am I going to film b roll" was!! Loved the expression you made at 0:36
I heard this term from a Ferriss podcast guest yesterday: productivity shame, how we shame ourselves for not doing enough when we feel unmotivated (which makes things so much worse). I was reminded of that when you mentioned taking a vacation day, a mental rest day so to speak. I wonder how much of a rut is simply a moment where we're lost compared to the multiple hours we get angry or frustrated at ourselves for not being good enough.
Forgive yourself friend. Rest and let yourself heal. You are working hard, you are enough, treat yourself like you are! Be well xx

Haha I was pretty cold filming that.
Productivity shame is something I fall into a lot. Especially since starting YT.
Thanks for your encouragement as always my friend & I hope you’re well!

Thanks Jaxx, Very appropriate video for my current vibe. I’m still trying to cost along. I totally agree about getting rest and exercising. Just like in the beginning of your video, what I personally like to do is go for a nice long walks in nature. To me, that is one of the best ways to reset my mind. You’re doing great stuff, thanks for spreading positivity in this world!

      1. What's the one thing you like most about the personal development niche?
      2. What kind of videos would you like to see more on RUclips?
I'm doing a bit of research and I'd appreciate your help.
      Thank you so much.

Working out has been my own personal meditation space. It's worked wonders for me. Sometimes when I feel like I've hit this creation block I look to other cretors for inspiration through television shows, movies, books and music. I hope you get out of the rut brotha! Like you said - don't beat yourself up for it. That wave will come back.

Hey Jaxx!! Loving this video so much. I think a lot of people needed to hear these messages, especially due to the pandemic and quarantine. So important to remind ourselves to take a REST rather than being productive. I also love exercise and the idea of running to put one foot in front of the other! I have been a bit hard on myself lately, so I will take away this message of forgiveness. Thanks for your powerful message Jaxx :)

Great tips Jaxx. I find hiking in nature and exercise to be some of the best ways I can do a little reset. And I also try to do a little staycation someplace nearby every once in awhile - as they are always so rejuvenating. Finding little ways we can "change direction" can help us gain some perspective and get of feeling like we're just going through the motions. Thanks for sharing!

Great insights. What I´ve learned is that information rarely changes anything. We don´t value free information. It takes action to create transformation.

listening to this at work when its quiet. Amazing video and great message. One thing im glad for 2020 is I started my yt channel and I am connected to channels like these that are not only helpful but motivation. Yea sometimes we all need to just take a break and not be so hard on ourselves. They say we are our own biggest critics. We can be soft and kind to others but so hard on ourselves. Good rest and relaxation goes a long way. Its great to work hard and go after what you want but you got to be careful to not over do it all the time and learn to love the process. If you don't love it I feel like you are already failing. Great video brother thankful for ya video.

I feel you on this bro. I felt this way a month back and I knew that the best thing for me to do thenwas not to push some more it's actually to have a deep rest.
Love the message man. Pls be good✊🏽

I saw that one from Ralph where he talked about deep rest.. And I think we all get there once in a while. Like you said, nothing wrong with taking a few days off and not beating yourself up for it!

Taking a break, and ACTUALLY taking a break (not thinking about work or things you could be doing) really helps me get out of a rut. I tend to fall in a rut when Im overworking myself

Currently we are in Mercury Retrograde, which causes us to become aware of our shadow side. This is part of the transformation in the ego death, moving into our soul & heart chakra. This year I’ve learned so much about the Schumann Resonance with light codes, and planetary positioning which also effect our moods. You should feel better on Dec.14th, when we have a solar eclipse, and move out of retrograde. We all know what’s about to happen on Dec.21st, but if you don’t it’s called The Great Conjunction, where we leave the Age of Pisces, and move into the Age of Aquarius. We our birthing a new perception on old belief systems, and there will be contractions along the way. Follow your intuition, and sleep when you are urged to. It’s ok to just be in the moment & present, instead of always needing to do things. You are still being productive internally instead of externally. ☮️

That is something that a lot of people don't realize. We want things so much that we forget how important it is for us to take a day off where we don't have to focus on the everyday tasks of life. We can be our biggest enemies sometimes. Look inward to find all the answers you need.
