    ~“Without truth, there is no reconciliation” (Bryan Stevenson)~
    A face-to-face conversation with Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, moderated by Esmeralda Negron, assistant public defender
    “The individual is more than the worst act he/she committed.” This is one of Mr. Stevenson’s most famous and challenging statements. What journey brought him to this conclusion? Why would it be true and what implications would it have on the judicial system? What can facilitate a similar journey, especially for young people? What is the relationship between individual and structural or systemic changes in society? What comes first and why? These are some of the questions that will be addressed during the conversation.
    The New York Encounter is an annual three-day public cultural event in the heart of New York City, offering opportunities for education, dialogue, and friendship.

    Muy buena información y con subtítulos, no hay que prejuzgar ni etiquetar a nadie, somos producto de nuestros orígenes, educacionales, sociales, y familiares y en el caso de muchas personas de raza negra y otros segmentos vivenciales más ,ese contexto de venir a nacer en un cultivo de maltratos racismo esclavitud etc, nos lleva a prejuzgar injustamente a personas que como todos, solo quieren y necesitan integración y respeto, enhorabuena a este señor por tener un corazón tan grande y por dar esperanza a los más desfavorecidos de la sociedad como son los que están en las cárceles, está muy contextualizado y explicado desde el amor al prójimo y la justicia más justa, gracias a Esmeralda negron por su entrevista ...

    Bryan needs to have a long sit down meeting with Biden and Harris along with the DOJ and any congressional like minded folks to turn things around 👍🏾👍🏾🤔
