I started to write that and thought I must be wrong but yeah, I got 18.75 miles ( 75 mph divided by 60 minutes =1.25 every minute so 1.25 x 15 minutes = 18.75)
That's how I did it.
All I did was think 15 mins is 1/4 of 60 mins and divided 75 by 4 lol so much easier
Same here. I literally watched everything he just did and thought “no wonder our kids are so confused with math”.
Distant = Speed × Time so here we have speed 75 mph & time 15 minutes. We should divide 75 by 15 which is quarter of hour . So 75 ÷ 4= 18.75 miles .
15 mins =1/4 first I halved 75 = 37. 5 halved again = 18. 75
15mineuts is ¼ of an hour just divide milage by ¼ for 15mineuts specifically half for 30 3rd for 45 and than hour
velocity = distance / time
v = d / t
d = v x t
d = 75 miles/hr. x 15minutes(1hr/60minutes)
d = 18.75 miles
I can just freakin solve this bad boy with ease like a piece of cake dude-!-!-!-.But you are still the best☺.
Just divided 75 by 4 in my head, doesn’t work well with more complicated problems.
okay ... so you want all notes?
solve for miles per minute
75x=miles/hour
hr/60=min
75/60=miles/min
1.25=mil/min
new formula
1.25=mil/Xminutes or 1.25x=miles where x is a number of minutes
18.75 is miles when 15 is minutes
60min = 1 hr
15min = x?
x = 60/15 = 4 hours.
miles per away is m/hrs (mph)
x = 75 / 4 = 18.75miles.
I multiplied 75 times 15 = 1125 / 60 = 18.75
1.25 miles per minute times 15 is 18 .75
No, 75 X .25 - 18.75 answers?
I wanna say 18 or rounding up 19.
75:1/4 lol 😅
remember, He could have asked 13 minutes.(as mentioned)
Such a long winded answer and confusing
First
I just turned the 15 in to a percent..25 x 75 equals 18.75
