Can't really tell you what is my favorite stop. I never been to Canada and it is difficult to choice. As an amateur photographer, I want to do all. In Canada, you have so many beautiful places.
Your cinematography and narration are by far the best of any travel channel on RUclips! It really makes me realize how blessed by nature we in Canada are. You guys really do your research beforehand. Also, i really dig the Partridge Family-style converted schoolbus! 😅 very retro 70's!
Thank you SO MUCH for this kind comment! It means a lot. We are investing all our time and efforts into the channel, so it means a lot when all that work is appreciated!
I'm going to Banff for the first time next month and this video has me bursting with excitement. The production value of this (and I'm sure all the rest of your videos) is top notch and I truly appreciate all the historical information you plug about the area! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for your wonderfull perspective. It is lovely. I grew up in the Alberta Rockies when we almost never met another soul while wondering those ramparts. Now 50 years later i realize to really return i need a time machine. Lots of thanks from Yukon
Well, the beautiful thing is that the crowds really do stick to the beaten path. The moment you break away from the most popular spots, you get the landscape all to yourself once more :)
Very nice 4K video and I loved the cleanest windshield possible on any video, professional or pro-summer. I really enjoy your post and I know it took much patience and hours. Thank you for your hard labors.
Thank you SO MUCH for appreciating that! Both the long hours and clean windshield!! 😊 We actually focus a bit on that - cleaning both sides before ever filming. And yes, these videos take all of our time, so thank you for appreciating them! 🙏
Thank you for your beautiful videos, photographs, recommendation and narration. You 2 are the best and this is by far the best vlog on Banff National Park...thank you ! Beautiful work.
Saw your video in my RUclips suggestion feed and glad I watched it. Love your story telling, video creation and photography of your adventures! I live near Banff and enjoyed seeing Banff from your views as a tourist. Sometimes I forget what beauty I have access too. Look forward to watching more of your adventures videos!
Welcome aboard! So happy you’re on the adventure with us! Yes, it’s easy to get used to the place you live and not experience it the way visitors do. We both feel that way about our respective hometowns, and why we both enjoyed giving each other ‘tours’ of our homelands (Jose for me in Nicaragua, and me for him in Wisconsin). You see with a whole new set of eyes!
Nice video my friend. I love all of your videos. This is probably one of the best video I've ever encountered on RUclips. Interesting information and explanation, it was very informative and nice cinematography. Thank you for sharing and have a nice day!
Went to this awesome town in 1995. I was 11. We stopped on the side of the road and watch a bear have a stand off with a pack of wolves. I bought a small stuffed polar bear. My niece still has that bear.
Wow, thanks! That’s such an awesome compliment! Wait til you see the video coming out this Sunday 😊😊😊 Amazing stuff to learn about the Kenai peninsula in Alaska!!
A good video, came up on my home screen. Beautiful place. it is why I moved here 17 years ago and I am still discovering new places. you definitely did a fantastic job
I traveled a lot of the U.S. especially during the begging of the Demic. I wanted to go to Alaska and Canada but couldn’t. This video makes me want to try again. Good job.
I got stumbled upon this video clip and have become a fan of you guys. Thank you for packing in a boat load of information with easy and relaxed explanation. Videos look awesome!
Great information and wonderful filming!! I enjoy your explanations of everything you do. Thank you!! I’m going solo starting Monday…your info was so helpful.
OMG. love your narration, story telling, very informative, cinematography, your voice. smart as I noticed for the lady and the gentleman. one of the best I've seen thus far re BANFF/JASPER. amazing! you both are gifted. and also an artists. Genius in what you both do. so glad to encounter your vlogs. May you prosper more in your life.
Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us with such beautiful and encouraging comment. We wish you all the best in the world!😊
Wow and wow. New subscriber here. So glad to see this and find your Channel. It seems like I'm with you all the way on your trip. I hardly blink for the whole 37 minutes and 32 seconds. Hahaha. So wonderful scenery. You guys are great. God bless and more travel and videos in the future.
This is by far the best Banff video there is I came across your video just after visiting the iconic Banff but will for sure go back! Thank you so much for sharing your videos! You should go to Kosovo! 💜

I like every video you guys have done I think you're an amazing couple you're going to go far I hope a lot of people can live by what you're doing in 2023 a beautiful family a beautiful experience all the way through amazing which said tranquility😮😊😊😊 may God bless you both
I'll do my best to be by the border when you come to BR. It would be amazing to go to Serra da Capivara and then to Chapada Diamantina! Cora's geologist insights would reach the next level there and I want to see it happening ^_^
Great video! Very well done and also usefull as I'm going there in late September. one question: is there anyway to know the train schedule? To know when it will come to the curve? greetings from Brazil
Thank you so much! So glad the video is helping you plan your trip. You will love it! That's a good question about the train schedule. We didn't look it up to see if there was one. Definitely worth the time if you want to see if they have one though! The thing is most of those trains are freight trains, so I'd be surprised if you could find a schedule online. The passenger trains are easier to find schedules for. But we only saw ONE passenger train there. The rest were freight trains. If you do find a schedule, share it to the comments!!!
I am sooooo excited! I'm coming over for my 32nd birthday - Using your videos to help me plan my shooting. Coming outside of my Region for the first time and country for the second time, Moraine Lake is by far my most sought out locations. So excited for both Banff and Jasper at the same time. Do you think it's realistic to base yourself in Banff to goto everywhere - Jasper and Banff Parks?
Hey hi, that’s awesome! Your are going to love these two parks. Banff and Jasper are huge parks so the distances between places are very long, specially if you are based in the town of Banff. If you are doing photography, sunrise and sunset times provides some of the best light for photography. You can also takes amazing photos at any time of the day but early morning and late afternoon are my favorites times to take pictures. It might be better if you can plan for the places you want to takes pictures of so you can camp nearby, that way you can spend less time traveling back and forth from Banff. Another thing to think about is that to reach some of the most beautiful places to have to hike to those places, so that will add more time to your day of travel. Hope you have a wonderful time in Banff and Jasper National parks 🙂
Excellent video. Never been to Hector Lake so that was interesting to see. Not a fan of wading across rivers anymore so not likely I’ll ever make that hike. Loved the part about Plains of the 6 Glaciers. We did that hike about 8 years ago. Definitely a favourite of mine. Btw, there’s a book titled Poo With a View by Gavin Boutet that you might find interesting. Some gorgeous pictures and a topic that’s not so well known.
Amazing video!! Thank you for all the info! What lenses do you recommend for this trip? Do I need a 100-400, just got back from a trip to the mountains with it and it seemed to long. Maybe the spots I'll be shooting at in the Canadian Rockies are farther away? Thanks for the info.
Hi there, thank you so much for watching, we are really happy you enjoyed our video on Banff. If you are shooting landscapes, like we were, I don't think you need a 100-400mm lens. Although it would be nice to have that lens in hands in case you spot some wildlife. This lens can also be great for a full moon rising behind the mountains; I bet you could get some killer shots of a moon rising in Banff with the 100-400mm lens if the conditions are right. I would recommend having a wide angle lens, 17-40mm or 16-35mm, with any of these lenses you could capture some dramatic photos around lake Louise and Moraine lake. I captured a lot of great shots with my 17-40mm lens. I also shot some great panoramic photos with my 50mm f1.4 lens, you have to do the stitching in post but the photos come out great. I also recommend the 70-200mm lens for distant shots of the mountains. Another lens I would recommend is a 24-70mm or a 24-105mm lens. I have the 24-105mm lens and this one is one of the lenses I use the most. It is versatile enough to be the one lens to bring on a long hike if you don't wanna be carrying all your gear. We hope this helps you choosing your gear, happy shooting in the Canadian Rockies!
Hello! I am also a photographer and found this video very entertaining and informational. At 52yrs old, I’m brand new to hiking. I did some hiking last summer in Sedona, AZ and loved it and now I have the hiking bug but I wanted to ask you about the Bear spray; Bear Bells and Bear Horn. Have you ever had to use any of those because a bear was nearby and if so what was that experience like? I’m all for hiking and exploring but the thought of coming across a bear is not something I would want to do lol!
We have (knock on wood) never had to use our bear spray or the air horn. Maybe that's because the bear bell helps us give bears ample warning that we are on the trail. In all our hikes in Canada and Alaska and the lower 48, not a single time have we come across a bear on the trail. I would not let the fear of bears stop you from exploring this new found passion, but also at the same time it is very important to just have bear spray on you and use a bear bell. Know the rules for bear encounters (e.g. never run). Once you are set up with spray and a bear bell, you should feel confident to hike and enjoy the natural world. There is always a risk for bear encounters. But they are more rare than you think. Take us as an example!

Thanks for your great info
Awesome, we hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did!
We actually shot this video in September last year.
Neat
