    It is weird to say I love her nose? I really hope she does too. Also, I was catcalled in baggy sweats & a hoodie with the hood up while playing pokemon Go... animals have no taste.

    The paradox of women and catcalling: "The thing is ... it's obviously disgusting to be catcalled as a woman but there is like a little part of all of us that is like 'I look good today!'"

    • @monicanavarro2906

      True. Most of us women overthink stuff, that's why we sound incoherent. We do like to look good and that men notice us, but we don't like that they are vulgar about it or too forward, especially strangers. It's different to be approached in a friendly manner in a bar than being catcalled at 2 am by god knows who when you're walking home. You think we women don't find random strangers in the street attractive? We do, but most of us would never even dream of shouting "hottie, come here, why so lonely?". It's just weird.

      I mean.. everyone is different and we all react to certain things differently. If I got cat called, I would honestly feel embarrassed and scared, because I would not know the person's intent behind those actions. Are they messing around, making fun of me, showing off to their friends, am I a game to be played with, or are they generally interested in me? I have no idea. But that's just me. Some women may like it, others will hate it. It's just how individual people feel.
      Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate a compliment or two, but like Maria Mort said, it's just weird. There is a time and a place for these things.
      That's just my two cents for the day, you can ignore me if you want. I just wanted to input my feelings.

      The problem is that there is no solid definition of catcalling. Some women consider "Good morning!" as catcalling. Check out the video of the woman walking for hours and recording herself being "catcalled". There is a difference between coming off as a creep by shouting obscenities and tossing a compliment.

      Are you afraid of any short interaction with strangers? What do you consider catcalling?
      You would not know the stranger's intention even if the interaction happened at a bar. What would be the time and a place for someone trying to get close to you? A passing stranger probably does not have the time to wait until then to approach you.
      On the other hand, we do tend to act out in front of our friends so the whole thing turns into a game. However, people need to understand that sometimes everyone gets treated as an object for a specific goal. Women do it to men as well and we ought to behave as adults and move on (to some extent if your objectification is not realistically affecting you). For example, objectification is part of sexual attraction between two strangers but it does not mean that one could use the other as a sexual slave.

    In all fairness, she can wrap herself in a potato bag and wear zombie makeup and I'll still find her attractive *shrugs*
    Women - not understanding how men work since the dawn of time.

    • @Splox5
      @Splox5 7 лет назад

      Really? Saying that women haven't understood how men work since the dawn of time is ridiculously one-sided. Women _and_ men have clearly never fully understood the opposite sex or gender, nor anyone in between for that matter.

      VOr4xiz wasn't trying to make a balanced argument against the differences between women and men, I'm pretty sure they were referring to this particular video. Go on and find new and exciting ways to get triggered though.

    • @Splox5
      @Splox5 7 лет назад

      +Tallbartender Yeah, no. This is not new, or exciting, and I wasn't even particularly triggered to be honest. It just seems really weird to me to make comments like that. And maybe that makes me the one who is weird, I'm self-aware enough to concede that.
      I understand how it relates to the video, I just find that this kind of statement hurts its point by being one-sided. That kind of bias can turn people away from what you're saying, even if what you say is true. I didn't disagree with what they said, just how they said it.

    • @Tallbartender
      @Tallbartender 7 лет назад +1

      I would have said (for you, if I were me being him, knowing you), "Women - not understanding men, and Men - being pervs since the dawn of time". Is that better?

    • @EclecticMystic
      @EclecticMystic 7 лет назад +1

      You're assuming a lack of statement implies they are against it. All they said was this video was an example of women not understanding men. They said nothing about men understanding women or not. You're assumption about that becomes a strawman.
