It's not a ds1 it's an overdrive he has in the triangle layout with a super overdrive and a octave pedal. He has them in that position to go from the mid highs to heavy distorted lows. Does this flat out on Dead Cowboy. He's added a chord making pedal 3rds 4ths 5ths etc I think and it's beside the line 6 delay pedal. I played guitar for years till I heard this guy. I've a bass en route in the post due any day now. This band is just superb

5 string bass.
I believe the thickest strings are the A, D & G of a bass, then it's banjo strings. Tuning I think is cello (read that somewhere) but the man defo mixes it up. I'm working on his core tunings myself

Feel like watching this video a load of times and finding out what the tuning is from certain notes he's playing. Lol
