Back when I was 20 y.o. I used to do a LOT of SUPER SLOW HIGHESS INTENSITY EXERCISES! That was 20 years ago! I was very intuitive. I was in the BEST SHAPE & "FEEL" of my life. Now, at 40, I'm getting back there, so THANK YOU very much for bringing me back to this kind of exercising!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
    EXCELLENT VIDEO!

I'm going to change my lifting tempo after seeing your machine-like form, Dr. Mercola. Thank you for the genuine, factual presentation as usual.

Great admirer and follower for many years now. If I may comment on the squat technique. Is there a reason why you do quarter squats - maybe half squats? Is there not more potential damage to the knees by doing half squats? I believe the saying goes.. half squats, half results. Also no or little engagement of the adductors and hips in half squats. Super Slow is a great training method and thanks for sharing. Mahalo Joe Lewis

Dr. Mercola keep up the good word.
I lost all my muscle using HIT CARDIO. I started doing slow steady cardio and got SHREDDED TO THE BONE.
2 Hours per day 120g carbs per day

I imagine it'd be fantastic for hitting deep postural muscles though, especially in the middle back to help with people's poor thoracic extension :)

I can't picture this type of workout applying well to beginners, even on machines. I've been training clients for a few years now and I have no idea how many people I've pulled up at chest presses with shrugged and protracted shoulders or bicep curls with swinging through the lower back. I think it's something that should only really be done with a professional present and even then, coordination & skill levels would determine whether it's done at all.

1/SSlow philosophy's dead-set against separate cardio, even "peak fitness". Odd to title this "SuperSlow" , yet begin with a contrary method. 2/Free weight exercises have wildly varying levels of resistance from 1 segment of their range of motion to another. Because of this, if you do SuperSlow movements with free weights, you must shorten the ROM to avoid the easy segments, which will take the tension off the muscle, giving you a too-long rest every rep if moving slowly.
