Bob was brilliant. His timing was impeccable.
I grew up watching Bob Hope specials. I was age 6 during this one, but I liked him at that young an age. Now days his old specials are like comfort food. The good old days of tv! Thanks for You Tube!
All those women was some of the all time greats!!..Class/Beauty.. to spare!!.....i long for those days of yester year!!..Bob Hope you lucky devil!!👍
Bob Hope was Always THE Greatest comedian & actor . We miss you Mr. Hope!
Thx for this. I love these old shows. Paul Lynne is a treasure.
I had a friend who met Bob Hope y she came to my home all excited about her new experience y to share. She said he was a very nice man in person y happy to have met him. I enjoy this video because it was a time when America needed laughs. The country was not as disturbed y full of hate like it is now. In 1966 people respected each other y love was pretty much out there with the hippie movement y the country was Christian. You weren't a target for your beliefs like today. Antisemitism had died down for the most part. You could ring a rich person's door y be welcomed into their home almost immediately. I remember how people were decent then y I was glad to alive.
I miss these days so much I was young my father used to sit and watch all of this. This is good humor. He was one of the best.
I LOVE Paul Lynde. His facial expressions, voice and comedic timing..cracks me up even if the jokes aren't particularly funny😂🤣
Bob Hope is literally an American Treasure. The Comics today should watch some of these old shows and learn what REAL COMEDY was/ IS.
Rip “Ole Ski Nose”….And FYI…that was Bob Hope’s nickname. He gave it to himself. What a guy.!
Funny, that's what they said about Jimmy Saville across the pond.
he told the best jokes that money could buy!
“Maybe we should return to the barter system.” - me in a phyllis diller voice lololol
Bob Hope was my all time favorite since I was a kid. They just dont make them like they use to..Glam Class intelligent and all so funny...💜 Thanks Bob for all the memories..💜
What a great comedian! Television is not the same without him.
The heyday of 100 decibel canned laughter and applause
Bob hope reminds me of frasier.
Saturday night live owes their format to these specials
Bob Hope 63 years young and no pot belly....i hope i look that good in 11 years,
It's all the mistresses. He was always doing cardio
look closer...you can see he has a girdle on under that suit. Look, he only had to suffer wearing it for less than a half hour at a time. Hollywood is all smoke and mirrors.
His P.A. much later spilled the beans. He wore a corset.
I adore Phyllis Diller!!!
29:40 absolute CHAD
Thanks for this. The censor has chopped a few bits but it’s 👍.
Chopped a few bits. Are you serious. The count is falling apart with mass shootings, church is like a curse word, us Jews are living so bad off that I'm afraid to go to an American babecue for fear I might not make it home. Y they cut bits. To protect who. Let me go clean my water gun.
If you watch his facial expression while telling his joke stories,
You Know he had a "Style".
Paul is my favorite!
The sixties were so much more than Hippie Culture. Sharp and almost Edgy but with class.
Introduced by Frank Barton.
Hahahahaha!💕😂😂😂😂😂
The great Hedy Lamarr, inventor of wifi.
It's Hedley!
I don't get it???
@@freedomtowin A reference to Mel Brooks film 'Blazing Saddles'. Harvey Korman's character was called Hedley Lamarr, and had to correct anyone who called him 'Hedy'.
Harvey Korman played a villain named "Hedley Lamarr" in Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles" (1974). A running gag throughout the film is that people call him "Hedy" instead of "Hedley", which he kept correcting in frustration. Governor LePetomaine {Mel} reminds him, "What the hell are you worried about? This is 1874. You'll be able to sue *her!"* In fact, she did sue Mel and the studio for making fun of her name. I believe the case was dismissed.
@@V8_screw_electric_cars It's a woman and yes it's Hedy : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedy_Lamarr
Instead dick van dyke evening comedy time on CBS it really would be nice to bring back which I rather watch Bob Hope specials & Carol Burnett & Lucy am sure many fans would love it watch the ratings go up it would be a nice treat for us fans
To find who Bob Hope is,read the book,Transformation of America by Cathy O'Brien. The last I knew you can read it free on Amazon. Hope bought Cathy and used her for a spy and sex kitten for blackmail according to Cathy and her book. She had a photographic memory. Do you remember the entertaining the troops? Cathy was the little cutie with the sailor style bathing suit. Cathy also went through the MK Ultra program.Hollyweird isn’t what we think.
🎯
i would have picked hedy lamar.
Phyllis Diller's real name was Butch Anderson.
.
Phyllis Ada Driver, born 7/17/1917, in Lima Ohio....
.
@@sdne1959 thank you.
Lucy wins!
Rodney Dangerfield would completely DESTROY Bob Hope in a head to head joke telling contest.
In terms of stand up comedy, Bob Hope was not even worthy enough to tie the brilliant
Rodney Dangerfields shoelaces if they both waited backstage before they are about to go on and perform one after the other.
Bob Hope was an excellent actor, singer and dancer.
A great entertainer in his own right.
But he was simply the worst comic ever to walk into a TV studio.
The troops just wanted to escape from their problems so they laughed at anything that he did just as a way of taking their minds of war.
Like I said,
Rodney Dangerfield would completely DESTROY Bob Hope in a head to head joke telling contest.
Thank you for talking so kindly about my kinfolk 🇮🇱
@@vanessapierce231 Your kinfolk are cool.
Canned laughter, when do we get to the funny bits".
I enjoy him in films but I loathe these kind of American shows - it's all so phoney and contrived.
That’s the charm.
