    I've always been fascinated with Mini PCs and SBCs. I have an HP Ultra Slim Desktop at home running Rocky Linux which will run Docker containers. This is something that I've wanted for a daily driver desktop running Windows and Fedora on dual boot, and multi-monitor support out of the box, Minecraft and coding is only what I do.
    This could just be the Mini PC I need to try, and easy to get too since they're being sold refurbished online.

      I even still have the USFF one from Dell the 790 which is the precursor to the MFF one in this clip.
      Most def, you will find them all over the place and for good prices. 👍

    • @Glob3Tech
      @Glob3Tech  4 года назад +3

      Hi Emilia! No worries at all, ask away and I will happily try to help. Thank you for the kind words as well 🤗
      Yes, these computers have a socket and you can remove the CPU. The thing is Dell is very pretentios and funny about the BIOS and microdes which means there is a chance that if you put a different CPU (although in the same generation) it might not work.
      I would tray to ask DELL on the customer support to see if it will work. Let's say you have an i3 8100T and you want to put the i5 8500T. But of you replace it with an identical CPU that that will remove any doubts and it will work.

      I would say if you export only 1080p yes the i7 variant should be enough if combined with at least 16gb of ram and SSD of course. But it will not compare to a full desktop that has a dedicated GPU especially in Premier. Depends how much you pay and if you travel then go for the Dell. But just for Premier Pro I would go for a full desktop since it uses CUDA acceleration as well from the GPU.

Maybe also Adobe Audition???? My current rig is a very outdated HP Pavilion Slimline from 2009, and it seems to run Reason & Ableton pretty okay, but it struggles with even the most basic 2D games in Retro Arch. They run fine if NO SHADERS are turned on, but even the most low demand CRT shader like ZFAST will cause the frames to dip or sound to crackle and stutter.

      @@TL.... Yes, you need at least 8gb of ram. Better yet 16GB if you can. Then another must upgrade is the SSD. It's very easy to clone if you get a samsung one. I have a tutorial in my 'quick tech tips' playlist to show you what to do.
      I presume you have Windows 10 which is optimised for SSD.
