Advanced JEE problems are just like highly theoritical chess openings like Ruy Lopez, Sicilian Najdorf , Grunfeld , or Nimzo Indian defences. U have to know all small nuances. d1d2= b^2 is not enough here, we have to remember about the bisection of angle alpha. Generally students don't go through the trigonometric topic " PROPERTIES OF TRIANGLES ".....JEE ADVANCE exploit this weakness very efficiently.
