Sadly there’s a lot of players in Tekken who don’t really appreciate the inspiration behind many character moves and fighting styles. The Tekken 7 newcomers especially are uninspired and it cultivates a fanbase of players that doesn’t really care for the individual styles. I used to love Tekken because of the beautiful animations on top of the BS moves like helsweeps or electrics. Even characters like Roger the kangaroo doing boxing and wrestling. Bringing martial arts against a demon enemy at the end of a global fighting tournament was the whole allure of the game and the fact that Tekken was all about footsies and skill full play, now the lines are blurred and the characters and gameplay seem to be changing for the worst and away from the originality and inspiration of the older games. Armor King will always be badass though. Can’t get enough of the old veteran cast of characters.

Fun fact he is based off dark tiger mask and Tajiri. 3:03
Thanks to this clip now i know why Armor King does that.
Great Compilation dude, you solve many of my question i had.
Armor King always on top
These moves must be completely baffling for an actual martial arts practitioner to encounter
Look up Dan Severn's suplex against Anthony Macias at UFC4, to see a genuine reaction to a wrestling move in a real combat situation.
Hot take, but I always saw pro wrestling as street fighting but with more grappling.
