+lawlerzwtf Yeah, that could work, and if you garden hose hand spray has one of those pull triggers on it, you'll save water because you'll need to hold the trigger down to get water. psssshhh, pssshhh, psssshhhhh, psssssshhhhh, and you can control where the water goes too, although if you're doing that, you may end up spray water all over the bathroom if your shower cubical just has a soft curtain and not a solid door.
There are several problems with atomizing - 1. By increasing the surface area of the water, much more of it evaporates than with a conventional showerhead, even before it reaches your skin. This means the water savings will not be AS great - when spraying into a larger space, as opposed to spraying into a small container. 2. All of that increased evaporation will immensely increase the humidity in your bathroom. If you have a small bathroom and you thought it gets very humid, with this showerhad, it will be much much worse. This of course means mouldy walls etc. 3. Another side effect of atomization and evaporation is that the tiny water droplets cool down very quickly. This effect is even used to make snow from snow cannons on skiing slopes. Just try pouring warm water into a regular garden sprayer and then spray your hands. The water will be at or even lower than room temperature before it reaches your hand. This means that to have a nice warm shower, you will need to run the water on a much higher temperature, which means more energy wasted.
Yes, finally someone mentioning how poor the water temperature is. I remember taking a shower at a campground bathroom and the shower was so misty. It was really hot at the head but by the time it reached me it was just good enough to get the job done, not enjoyable. If they could figure the temp I would consider it. And to flipping expensive.
As long as you don't have an active current of air moving through the atomized water, after a duration of time, the system will likely equalize. The humidity of the relative air will be at 100% and the air temperature will be relatively the same. I can see a large cooling effect happening, say two feet away, but even after a longer duration of time, that air will have also equalized. The water might cool but by a much smaller margin.
But if it takes time for the water cooling effect to stop, what happens to the showering time? You don't have to have air blowing past - natural convection of air in the room is enough. And if you use 40 °C water, then the air will keep cooling it until its temperature rises to the same 40 degrees. That would probably take a long time, but you wouldn't want the temperature in the bathroom to be that high anyway. And the humidity would of course condense on cooler surfaces.
Iguana93 okay what you're saying is based all on theory. The designers of the shower head were working on the product for years before its mass production (so hopefully they tried to weaken the flaws of it). Just don't try and point out every single flaw in something before you actually try it your self.. It might be great, or terrible, we'll know once we try it...
Ugh... no I understood, I was making a joke, clearly it went over your head. I'll explain. It's hitting YOU so hard even SHE can feel it. Obviously that's physically impossible, thus: a joke. Thank you for just assuming I'm an idiot and then proceeding to be an ass about it though. Super classy.
you would have to be insanely fast and precise to properly clean yourself in 8 minutes. I am guessing the average is pulled down by people turning the shower on for a split second and then deciding that they hate water, and then leaving.
they will find success in the hotel industry. would save them TONS of money long term. add a bluetooth speaker and you'll be in every W hotel. also, they should make the showerhead spin. if the water gets atomized, the lack of stream would allow for actuation for better coverage, novelty appeal, and potentially a theraputic marketing angle which could be legit.
It's great for commercial showers, but not household. If you really want to save water when you shower, minimize the water flow rate and use a shower timer or play music on your phone (ex: finish showering after 2-3 songs finish playing)
Yea 20 gallons in 8 minutes is about 2.5 GPM, which is a standard like Delta or Moen water efficient shower head, theirs is like .75 gpm. Most older ones use even more than 2.5 gpm.
I have a European Union designed 2 nozzle mist shower using 1/5 the water of the Nebia and I have to agree that it is hard to honestly describe the experience, like explaining color to a blind person. It is not the common standing under a waterfall pounding massage. The sensation while showering is weirdly like feeling more covered in water and cleaner afterwards. I have to rate my satisfaction with my unit way above any traditional shower. Nebia describes their latest product in spa like terms and that is a good description. I would have to believe the Nebia would work well with Americans with the caveat I don't know how it works for long thick hair. Perhaps that is the reason for the detachable showerhead. Mist showers actually pay for themselves by sipping water and using an unbelievably small demand on water heating. The water flow was so small the on demand water heater would not come on with our 2 nozzle unit. A simple work around was a non electric pressurized 2 gallon thermal tank quickly filled from the main line. An eight minute shower using less than 1.5 gallons of water but feeling better and cleaner than taking a 20 gallon pounding shower seems like science fiction or actually NASA. Even going American with the Nebia, it can't help but pay for itself in short order and have change left over for the planet. This is smart tech actually being smart.
the $349 price tag is what is stopping me. This is a shower head... I'm not seeing $349 worth in product here, also concerned that due to the water droplet being more refined that it is going to cause a colder shower environment and require a hotter shower. Even if the water coming out is somehow still as warm, because it is a mist, if you're in an enclosed shower the mist is going to be cold causing the rest of the surface area to be colder and to counter the temperature coming out = still needing a hotter shower. Maybe not...
I've used an atomizing mist shower head for 20 years. Teledyne Waterpik created one about 1995, which I bought three. it creates a nice steam fog to warm the bathroom in the fall. It doesn't evaporate before hitting the skin as one suggests. As per design, it's forced in one direction. As for temperature, my water is set on 120-123 F with no need for blending in cold water. With an adjustment I can spray near scalding on my back or sore muscles or move farther inches away to have a nice hot or even warm shower. Blend cold water for a cool shower in summer. The design of this new Nebia shower appears it won't permit a full body spray adjustment , such as when you're not washing your hair and want only a lateral direction spray. And the handheld then makes rinsing more difficult. As no one bought these due to their odd feeling of "no pressure" and longer time for rinsing (but, yes, less water usage) , Waterpik discontinued and switched to a more forced "mist" option. You burn, you learn. Guess it's Nebias turn, as perhaps they didn t research Waterpik's delimma. I love my old ones I bought for $15 each and still use only on mist.
Last year I bought an adjustable shower head. It has 8 functions like raindrops, waterfall-like function etc. From the softest to the one wich sprays water. The spray mode is itchi. It sprays the water with air. The softest is cooling down rapidly and when it reaches my body the water is cold, also cloggs very rapidly. I don't like it. I use the middle function. Not too soft and not too itchi.
I used to take irresponsibly long showers but then I got a little 5 min shower hourglass on a suction cup off Amazon for like 2 bucks and I actually shower under 5 mins now...it's not that bad once you get used to it. That said if someone gives me a free nebia I'll try it out
1. Heat, vapor of hot water will go away. It means low effciency. 2. Also hot water vapor will fill ur bathroom. 3. Hot, foggy bathroom will cause fungus or something. 4. Just use normal shower head.
Just got this shower head today, i would say it feels like ur in the rain. It was fun, i rate it 8.5 out of 10 :). Take it you wont regret it. Also im not talking about the one in the video. Was talking about their new model. Cuz that what i got.
After spending the day in a grease pit called heavy equipment i need a good flow rate to get the dirt off. The misty shower acts as an evaporative heat exchanger and it puts the heat from the water in the air and spreads humidity everywhere, That thing costs so much yet it made of cheap aluminum. It should be gold plated copper at that price! Oh and Brian has nice armpits too.
I had a misty shower when i was a kid. If you have thick long hair it takes FOREVER to rinse it out. And the mist actually stung you a bit sometimes so its not that soft lmao. Felt great thats for sure
Most Filipino’s shower like this: Fill a pretty big bucket with water, then use a smaller bucket (tabo) and make the places wet you want to make wet. (So wet your entire body) soap it and then just wet it again and rinse it off, etc.
took a shower over my dad's as a kid. he had this strange shower head that put out a mist. i was annoyed with that thing BUT it got the job done using almost no water. if i can find one i will buy one
I need a large flow rate for my shower because the water droplets need to be heavy enough so that the endothermic evaporation that occurs as they fall to my body doesn't cause the droplets to get cold.
Good luck cleaning the atomized spray heads when mineral buildup starts to happen... I'll stick to my 10 inch rain head in which I removed the restriction plate. I like to feel like I'm under a waterfall when showering. I also feel you shower much quicker when you have more flow.
It's not about saving money, it's about saving our rapidly depleting life source called water. California and many other parts of the world are in very bad drought thanks to Climate change and our wasteful habits.
+Baldemoto or we can just pipe in ocean water and bathe in that and save the fresh water for drinking cooking etc... Salt water is good for skin as well so twice the benefit.
If the water pressure isn’t strong enough, you’ll be in the shower longer to wash the soap off of you. I want a happy medium. Don’t want to waste too much water but also want to take a quick shower if I need to.
What about taking it off the wall and switching to a stronger stream mode? Taking 30+ minute showers or having standart water flow you see in every shower head? The exact temperature smart system sounds awesome tho.
Better idea: get a on demand hot water heater and a 3 shower head system with no water savers inside and shower for as long as you want with all the water you please. It ain’t going anywhere...
Out of all the comments I only found one that focused on the positive ecological benefits of this shower head. Every single other comment was about how expensive it was compared to the water savings. What a shame.

I don't understand why it matters how much water you use. It doesn't disappear off the earth. It just evaporates after it's drained out and rains back down :S
For people with adjustable shower heads, turn your shower to the mist setting, realize that sucks, then switch back to your normal shower.
Here's a cheaper alternative: attach a garden hose to your shower and use the mist nozzle.
yes!
EPIC
Oh I laughed hard lol
What they dont tell you is how much more it costs than a regular shower head. Use those saving to conserve water or feed people. ;)
It's just a fucking mister
My shower head has a mist setting and I picked that shit up for like $20
ciiriice Right 😂

All three of your points are spot on.

quosmo1, that's how powerful it needs to be for her.

quosmo1 he accidentally pressed U instead of i lmao. This isnt english class
quosmo1 lmaoooo you want me to be under a waterfall?
8 minute shower what a joke
+laquanakaonyx Ikr... Any shower under 30 minutes is a joke.
you would have to be insanely fast and precise to properly clean yourself in 8 minutes. I am guessing the average is pulled down by people turning the shower on for a split second and then deciding that they hate water, and then leaving.
laquanakaonyx Average of 8 min comes from a lot of people taking no showers, 0,0,20,20,0, hey look an average of 8 min
I shower 3 min max
i shower for 8 mins.
Lol I take 40 minute showers
Oml 😂
Me too.
How dirty are you?
panacea20111 he dosent do it since hes very dirty, but it is very nice to have a warm shower u just want to stay in more 😊
That's some long masterbation session in the shower 🤣
The price for this thing is insane for such a misty shower.
they will find success in the hotel industry. would save them TONS of money long term. add a bluetooth speaker and you'll be in every W hotel. also, they should make the showerhead spin. if the water gets atomized, the lack of stream would allow for actuation for better coverage, novelty appeal, and potentially a theraputic marketing angle which could be legit.
She said it takes only 8 mins to shower???
I've been showering wrong my whole life....
@adrian singh Some of us take care of our hair and skin properly.
My *hosepipe* actually has this "rocket science technology" too!

Brian Tong showering just made my morning
I just watched for Brian Tong
I'd rather see digital temperature controls so my showers are always the same temp and consistent throughout.
8 mins? More like 1 hour! XD amiright?
no
nah 30 min for me
Pedro Et Cetera yes lol
1 hour of shower shows you that you are lonely. get a wife.
detangling my hair takes forever!
Of course you're gonna make Brian do this lol
This will not be as good as a full pressure shower guarantied

We're one step closer to sonic showers. I hope this comes to market soon. No doubt it will be a hit for us out west.
with the drought and price hike on water in California, I will definitely buy this product.

my last water bill was 36.78, and that's with 4 other room mates. I'll keep my high pressure shower head that feels like a back massager.
The Tech Man absolutely, u r not in CA
+Jie Lin my last water bill was 18.72 with a family of 4
I live bout 25 miles from the great lakes so my water bill is always super low
I find it fascinating that none of you were impressed by the fact that this has the same finish as a MacBook. Wow, he had me right there.
bruh
I hadn't even noticed lmao
Would like to see Lynn La and Sharon try this out. Please?
1. Heat, vapor of hot water will go away. It means low effciency.
2. Also hot water vapor will fill ur bathroom.
3. Hot, foggy bathroom will cause fungus or something.
4. Just use normal shower head.
Brian, you did it again !
Never seen anybody so hyped about a shower, geez luiz.
They make shower heads that have a button you can press to “pause” the water. I have one. Lol
So in simpler terms it's a heavy mist. Forget the geometry bullshit
I have no idea why this video is on my recommended but I feel blessed with Brian’s... attractiveness.

I so want these for my two RV showers!
How long before it gets clogged?
Yeah, that calcium buildup... If they launch a head that actually filters water and doesn't get clogged then I'll pay up
8 MINUTES?!?! HUN I TAKE at LEAASSSTT 20 MINS
“Ive taken thousands of showers my entire life” i think we all have

You are such a card, Bri. Love your videos, especially your electronic videos. Thank you for sharing!
*puts professional showerer on resume* 😎
That white guy looks like he's in love with Brian Tong
zombiesmaasher The white guy wanna see sum of Brian's "tong", if you know what I mean ;)
Fritz The Bisexual Hamilton Nerd LMAO
Connect your shower head to your wifi or you can't use it time? This is the future.
$350 hahahahahahahahaha
ya and well its a mister
$49 more and you can get an awesome chair
My hair is thick af, how the HE'LL am I supposed to get my scalp wet with this?
I'd have to take 60 min just to rinse my shampoo out.
took a shower over my dad's as a kid. he had this strange shower head that put out a mist. i was annoyed with that thing BUT it got the job done using almost no water. if i can find one i will buy one
I have a shower head with a pressurized nozzle, a normal and pressurized, a normal and pressurized-mist hybrid and a mist-pressurized hybrid.
The CEO is gonna get brian's shower video...
Dreams do come true! Keep it up Mr. Tong
I need my shower to feel like bullets to make sure I know I’m clean
if they added Bluetooth and water proof speakers to have music in the shower it'll be a real smartshower
They got a knack for making simple things sound complicated.
Still using less than it takes to make a beef patty.
Note: I eat meat, but whether I eat meat or not a long shower still uses less water than above.
I need a large flow rate for my shower because the water droplets need to be heavy enough so that the endothermic evaporation that occurs as they fall to my body doesn't cause the droplets to get cold.

Shampoo then Soap that's how you're supposed to take a shower
How is the pressure though? Like it looks amazing, but I want to be able to have some pressure in the water, rather than just a mist
So it’s basically like a mist. Like that one setting on your hose that creates the rainbow effect. I’m not sure why that’s revolutionary.
Bro 8 minute shower???
I take 30 God dang!!
"Shower Editor".. HILARIOUS! :-)
Oh hey, it's Brian Tong
It's not about saving money, it's about saving our rapidly depleting life source called water. California and many other parts of the world are in very bad drought thanks to Climate change and our wasteful habits.
How's that drought doing out there in ca.
The Juicero of showers.
I only think of the Seinfeld episode where they had low flow shower heads installed
and it caused their hair to be flat
The thumbnail totally reminds me of John Leguizamo's "The Pest" hahaha...
He sure is proud of having taken thousands of showers.
Is it waterproof.?
That thing is awesome expect the price tag.
When she said 8 minute shower 😂I take 30 min like 😅😂😅😂
bruh I like the pressure HARD, I don’t feel clean if I’m not getting blasted like a house that is on fire.
I want this shower. This people will revolutionize the shower industry forever. They will save us billions of galleons in the future.
+Baldemoto Billions of galleons? If the Spanish Armada had this shower, they could've defeated the British navy.
Go to their website. Look at how much California would save if everyone used this shower.
+This Guy like the Harry Potter currency?
+Baldemoto or we can just pipe in ocean water and bathe in that and save the fresh water for drinking cooking etc... Salt water is good for skin as well so twice the benefit.
+Baldemoto Good luck getting the water from the ocean to all of the US....
How do you rinse conditioner out with this?
If the water pressure isn’t strong enough, you’ll be in the shower longer to wash the soap off of you. I want a happy medium. Don’t want to waste too much water but also want to take a quick shower if I need to.
What about taking it off the wall and switching to a stronger stream mode? Taking 30+ minute showers or having standart water flow you see in every shower head? The exact temperature smart system sounds awesome tho.
Ever filled a bucket of water and dumped on you head? I want a shower head that delivers water like that!
This is a cool Advertisement
HIS LAST NAME IS WINTER IM DEAD
Better idea: get a on demand hot water heater and a 3 shower head system with no water savers inside and shower for as long as you want with all the water you please. It ain’t going anywhere...
Brian Tong: Shower Editor
Out of all the comments I only found one that focused on the positive ecological benefits of this shower head. Every single other comment was about how expensive it was compared to the water savings. What a shame.
The avg American shower is 8mins? I take like half an hour! ... I feel bad about myself now... Lol
There should be a shower that makes the water your preferred temperature right away so then you won't have to wait for the water to get to the right temperature
I don't understand why it matters how much water you use. It doesn't disappear off the earth. It just evaporates after it's drained out and rains back down :S
This looks like an apple product
I hope they don't connect them to the internet because I don't want my shower getting hacked lol
It's just a shower head with a mister and a really good marketing.
I have very hard water in Las Vegas, will it be able to work there without clogging up?
How much would that time avg drop if the 20+ minute showers switched to single digit timing?
In my town, we have such nasty hard water, that this shower head will clog in one week.
or or. i'm just gonna keep showering how i usually do lol
Since I started taking only cold showers I'm in and out in under 60 seconds. try it
I've showered like 600 times in my 24 year span of living
the mist feature on my showerhead hurts omg
Brian is just funny
"in fact ive taken thousands of showers"
Like we haven't
Wife would hate trying to get shampoo out of her hair with this thing
