For years, I would daydream very frequently. I would daydream during class, when I have to do work, when I’m listening to music, in the shower, and just whenever I’m doing anything in general. Daydreaming has what gotten me into writing stories of my own, especially fan fiction (not the smut ones of course). It filled in the lonely void I would often feel throughout the day. I hardly have any friends at school; I’m known as the weird kid just for not fitting in and being like the other people at school. And my family life is pretty difficult itself. Yet, it would also interfere with a lot of my things. It seeped in whenever I had to do homework, study, or do any other work. I find it hard to concentrate at times due to my frequent daydreaming. It caused me to take showers and baths that were way longer than it should be. Sometimes, it would even cause me to just sit there and continue daydreaming about my own little fantasy, not getting anything done. Back then, it had even interfered with my sleep, as I would spend the night daydreaming. The problem would come back once in a while, but not as much as back then. I tend to daydream about fictional things, worlds and realities. I especially daydreamed about certain shows and games I were in, which led me to writing fan fictions. Yet, I would also daydream about my crushes a lot. And almost all the time, my crushes were people I can’t even touch, as they are either fictional or people that were out of my league. Additionally, I would daydream of living a better life - such as a better/stable family life, being more socially acceptable, having more economic and emotional stability, being more smart/gifted/talented, etc. Yet, I still enjoy daydreaming, especially since my reality is dull and gloomy, going back to the loneliness I often dealt with during the day. My daydreams are a world where I feel comfortable and more accepted into. It’s where I could be myself, where I don’t hate myself. I would daydream automatically, as if it was a natural reflex. To me, daydreaming is a coping mechanism for myself, and perhaps more than just “my little world.” It’s an escape for me, when all things are bad I could escape to all things that are good I’m sorry for going overboard lol this comment section and video seemed like the perfect place to just pour out my feelings on daydreaming bc I feel no one I know could relate to this

I walk through the forest of tall trees and strands of light peaking through the canape above. Soon I come to a clearing. A field of beautiful white flowers and in the middle, there she lies... With her stunning white sun dress, long black hair draped on her soft skin, and the soft light of the sun glistening in her eyes. Alas we where together again. ... I wish I had kept dreaming...
