I am doing the opposite, took the power knobs off Dauntless DX2-500 and add metal round knobs. Installing this week, I'll video the finished result and link it.

IF you order a reel through a dealer it will be put on the list to be made for sure. J & H Tackle has been a popular dealer for guys ordering custom bu any dealer can do it. Thanks.

Red is for things you don't want to ever take off, Switch to blue. Mine snapped off. 🤙

Did you get it replaced already. You have manufacturer problems with the reels, we stand behind everything we make.

@Accurate Fishing I was there this Friday to pick up the knob. But main reason I went was to ask about the clicker on the tern 300. It engages on its own while fishing, lady mentioned there are updated parts that need to be replaced. Will be bringing it in after my upcoming fishing trip. 🤙

Well it wasn't quite as easy as you made it out to be but I got it done lol. I heated the screw, got it to break loose until the shaft started spinning too.
Tried to follow your advice to push the knob into the handle to get it to lock the shaft back up but no matter what I tried the shaft kept spinning.
Ended up getting a star drive into the original knob to access the whole shaft that I had to hold with vice grips to get the handle screw off the rest of the way. Then when I got everything on the actual power knob had no free spin to it so I had to mess with that screw a little so that it wasn't so tight

The final adjustment is part of the end result. Nice work making it happen.
