You need some context regarding XG's training. Simon (their producer) and XGALX (XG's management company- formerly called X Galaxy) structured the group using a K-pop trainee program format. (They have a documentary that goes into detail regarding the training). K-pop trainees, for the most part, go through a rigorous program educating the potential members (trainees) in multiple aspects of music and modeling. This is done in lieu of middle and high school. (In XG's case, their focus was R&B and hip hop.) Hopefully you get a chance to watch the documentary (a series of videos called XTRA XTRA). Looking forward to your continued XG journey.
There is another group that goes heavy in the K-pop hip hop genre, called Young Posse, they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but if you wanna give them a chance start with Posse Up. Or if you want one video with a sampling of several songs they went on Sloppy Freestyle where they do a mashup of 5 of their songs. Both are good ways to test the waters of a new group
