Yeah the crave does more than the servo. Everyone tells me, if you want a more OS crave, then try the servo. But imo the servo just doesnt have enough torque resistance for me to throw it in the bag
How dare you not choose the crave! The crave is the way 🤣. I absolutely love my craves. But I’ll be honest the crave, insanity and wave combo is golden.
The Gyro staples for sure!! I told people in person, I know it sounds silly, but I love a perfectly seasoned and beat in disc being in my bag, and Gyro is just made too well 🤣🤣takes so long to beat in!
I haven’t tried the servo, but I really love the relay. Mine flys dead straight with a tiny bit of low speed fade. It doesn’t finish hard, but it’s predictable at my arm speed. Glad to see you giving gyro a chance!
I've been bagging a PP Stalker and a first run Passion for about 3 years and absolutely love them. They just go where you want. I haven't thrown anything MVP, besides Envy's, Hex and Glitch's but I've heard great things. I hope you have a great tournament season coming up. Remember to have fun!
I am having a good one thanks for the shout out. Also I bag the crave but I’m open to switching. So I’m happy you chose my name for a relevant battle for me.
I picked up a fission Crave a few months ago. It was reasonably stable at first but beat in pretty fast. Very touchy, but good for smooth hyzer flips and long turnovers. Might want to pick up a more stable plastic. I have an old neutron Axiom Clash (discontinued) I traded for a couple years ago, that is my stable fairway. Super consistent. Good to see these options if I ever lose it.
Answer is yes, passions beat in pretty flippy at least the ESP ones. Got a stock run and proto that I use for up hill and long turnovers. Grab a Z or Glo for a bit more stability. Stalker has been in my bag for over 10 years and swapped to the passion as they are the same flight just with the potential to throw further.
Was this the day that dude wanted to fight you on the first tee because he didn’t have his hearing aid and couldn’t hear you telling him he could play through? Where’s that footage? 😂
With my noodle arm, Craves fit me perfectly. I can turn them from a slight hyzer and get a straight flight. But I do bag 2 of them. One is mid weight and more beat in. The other is max weight and much newer.
Fairways is the area of my bag i have the most trouble nailing down as well. My bag skips from 5 speed to 9 speed. So thats my main focus for this year, test 6-8 speed discs. Not that im complaining. New discs are fun
I love the Crave. I have two in my bag, one beaten in and one straight. I then go to a Flightline Drift (7, 5, -2, 1) in proton plastic (similar to champion). The combination of those three have worked amazing for me
I've had that same issue with the servo just not showing up with the 2 fade in the 3 I've tried in neutron and plasma and just being black rimmed craves. My friend had a good orange plasma one, but he lost it and ended up having to switch to a cookie to get that same flight back. Good luck at the tourney!
They really need something between the crave and the resistor. Maybe the glow crave or servo will work out, or some volts are close enough for some arms 🤷♂
They're probably a bit hard to find, but servos in proton are money and have a more reliable fade for me. Hopefully they see a general release this year, but they were a circuit challenge disc last year.
Servos are awesome. First discs I really learned to throw well. I still say try a centurion. There are so many plastics that you should be able to find every stability you want plus it has the smaller rim like the stalker. If you don't mind the little bit thicker rim then go to an exodus. More stability to start with and beats in great.
Passions and Servos seem to be calling you Mr. RUclips man! You’ve convinced me to try a servo. I have 2 different Craves that I want to love but have a love/hate relationship with and I think from watching you throw them they may work better for me
I have a big Z Stalker that is near and dear to me but if you want something that you will be able to work into being very understable I'd say go Passion (or both!) Stalkers do get flippy but they're beaded which is always going to cause some drag at the end of the flight, so you'd probably be able to get a Passion even more flippy if you beat it up a lot
I throw the Servo over Crave too. I'd be interested in you testing the Relay 6 5 -2 1, I really feel like that disc has a stronger than suggested fade.
I think the matrix is one of the most underrated discs, and the most workable mid range. It is more stable than the hex/reactor (which fly exactly the same) but less than the pyro.
Sad to hear about Stalkers going away. I've had the same one in the bag for over a decade now. It's still surprisingly stable after all of these years and the Z plastic has got that gummy tack you only really find in older discs. I got back ups so I won't be switching off of them any time soon but it's one of those molds that's felt like a staple for so long. I imagine I'll have to switch to stable Cicadas or maybe Athenas someday sadly.
My 2024 season came to an abrupt halt over Easter, tore mcl/acl.. good luck in your season and to all others!! Don’t take it for granted, crushed my soul having to withdraw from all mine
I got a 170g esp passion and a 174g of the new jawbreaker z tour series. Tour series seems to be on the stable side of passions - good finish whereas my esp i can flip over way easier
I messaged you the other day about our shopping spree for the MVP only tournament. It has been almost a week since that video and because of this never ending rain, I haven't been able to launch my Servo. Supposed to be nice on Sunday finally and I will be on the swampy course...lol!
Last year's circuit challenge proton servos were awesome. I was throwing an FD in this slot, but found that the c-line was too over stable and the s-line was too understable. By far, the servo is my favorite fairway driver. need to run more proton servos. I have already pre-ordered the eclipse servo from OTB sales in hopes that it is similar enough to the proton
I'm in the opposite boat, I've been throwing a 160g fission crave and love it, I just got the pro series Page Peirce passion it flew so similar to my crave. I didn't expect the overlap honestly and the crave does hit about its speed rating I feel. I will say the crave fits my hand better and I'm so use to it I feel I'd just be disrupting my bag. I think I'm going to set the passion aside and if I lose the crave I can sub that in vs buying a new disc.
Respect on the choices. Gyronaut for life here. But I may recommend giving the Inertia a try at somepoint as well. Maybe you have already dk. But if not. Recommend a round or two to see. They are a go to in my bag for the lines you're describing.
The MVP Rhythm in fission plastic is almost identical to the Discraft Stalker, just a slightly thinner profile. But you really can’t go wrong with Craves. The Rhythm is a slightly faster Crave with just a tick more turn.
Neutron Servo is a beast of a disc. Before glow season started this fall I was throwing it a lot and it's definitely one of the furthest flying 'slower' discs I own. If anything I guess one of the reasons I haven't been missing it that much because it kinda overlaped a bit with my Eclipse Hex. You know, with how the glow Hex is that little bit more os and also is a far flier. I might bag it again during the summer, but right now I'm just digging Eagle a lot. Between a quite os old Barsby run, a straight'n'fade Halo Barsby and a pretty flippy champion Eagle it feels like I've got my workhorses working. And on the flipside (pun intended) the same situation with a trio of roadrunners for different kinds of hyzerflips and turnovers.
I bag both a Neutron Servo and a Fission Crave... the Crave is more over-stable than the servo for me. I used to bag both the stalker and passion but they just didn't feel right in the hand anymore.
One day you will get back to a Crave and find the one you want. I’ve got R2 plastic in the bag and looking to compare vs a “regular” Neutron plastic soon.
I threw craves for a long time, but I think my hex is more consistent and essentially has the same flight as a crave but shorter, so the Servo has taken over that 6 speed slot easily
He is trying to stay away from Trilogy in this slot if you watch his In the Bag for 2024. Cause he is bagging a decent amount of Trilogy already. I agree though, Recycled Explorer to Opto X chameleon Explorer you can cover almost every stability except super flippy
Funny thing I have 8 craves and love them to death. I got a servo last year and honestly there is just too much overlap with the Crave so I’m actually trading it this week for 2 Passions 😂. I’m looking forward to trying them.
Did the Cicada insult you and your family? It’s literally why Discraft is discontinuing the Stalker. MacBeast is apparently throwing Cicadas now. I’m perplexed by its omission in this comparison.
Totally fair question! The wide variety of stalker plastics that existed, opened up the door to allowing mold minimalization to kind of take over that fairway slot. But with the cicada being new, it does cover the under stable side of the bag extremely well, however, it seems like it can only go so far on the overstable side. So I wanted to try out an experiment with seeing if one mold could end up covering all those slots and the multiple runs of OS Passions was certainly intriguing. Still not sure this current setup is going to stick, and I could see a one two punch of the Cicada and Athena taking over!
They make social media management software that will let your crosspost with ease. You're doing yourself a disservice not just being on all the stuffs.
Always stoked to see the servo getting some attention
The Crave is my FAVORITE!!!! Good luck at the tourney.
Yeah the crave does more than the servo. Everyone tells me, if you want a more OS crave, then try the servo. But imo the servo just doesnt have enough torque resistance for me to throw it in the bag
@@tonydombovy5207 Try a TSA Votum. It will handle the torque and still give you an overstable finish.
I think the Servo is one of the better molds they make. Always have at least one in the bag. Great disc.
How dare you not choose the crave! The crave is the way 🤣. I absolutely love my craves. But I’ll be honest the crave, insanity and wave combo is golden.

My favorite part of throwing the servo, is I can grab the resistor, it feels exactly the same, and I get the reliable fade when I need it.
I love the servo
I've been bagging a PP Stalker and a first run Passion for about 3 years and absolutely love them. They just go where you want. I haven't thrown anything MVP, besides Envy's, Hex and Glitch's but I've heard great things. I hope you have a great tournament season coming up. Remember to have fun!

hahahaha it was. that's why I look so shook on the first teebox.
If i can ask, when in The vid was it, or was it in at all?
@lucasfjellberg6903 it's at the end but you have to watch the whole video for context ;)
@@Discsforbaskets Aight, Thanks for The info :)
@@lucasfjellberg6903 honestly it happened between my intro parts and when I was on the tee of hole 1!

My favorite disc is the Servo, I got it from a local tournament. Clear plastic with the signature black rim and works perfect for my arm speed
I’m a big servo fan. For some reason my flicks come off beautifully on it and it’s just a consistent disc for me. Just bought two more spares
I agree it is a great fh disc

Everything I've heard about the servo has been saying this, why I've never bothered trying it despite wanting that slot
They really need something between the crave and the resistor. Maybe the glow crave or servo will work out, or some volts are close enough for some arms 🤷♂

I'm having an alright day Robbie. Thanks man
Been on the Servi train for about a year now. Great disc
Sidewalk on #5 is always the litmus test. :D Great job buddy!
I was shocked to see it 🤣🤣
Passions and Servos seem to be calling you Mr. RUclips man! You’ve convinced me to try a servo. I have 2 different Craves that I want to love but have a love/hate relationship with and I think from watching you throw them they may work better for me
You need a proton servo. If you throw hard enough on flat release it turns slightly and finishes on a gentle fade. Favorite disc in my bag
I have a big Z Stalker that is near and dear to me but if you want something that you will be able to work into being very understable I'd say go Passion (or both!) How does a servo compare to the older flat top eagles?
Honestly for me the Rhytm does for me what I wanted the crave to do.

The esp stalker is so good. There will be some out there for years and years to come so I'm not worried. They also fly like my s line fds.
What weight do you prefer throwing fairways?
Neutron Servo is a beast of a disc. Before glow season started this fall I was throwing it a lot and it's definitely one of the furthest flying 'slower' discs I own. Explorer is the disc for that servo slot thing g,ides for days
You need to check out the relay ❤
Gotta try the fission volt my guy. A little beat in its MONEY
My go-to fairways are the Crave and the TSA Votum. I tried the Servo and it's a great disc but the Votum beat it out for me.

VOLT!

I wish they would make a fission servo
Would of loved too see the brave in the mix but great video
It could be in my head but I feel like MVP/Axioms 6.5 speeds is easier to throw consistently vs other 7 speeds
It's 100% in your head. The 6.5 speed Crave has a wider rim/wing than an 8 speed Passion. It's all just marketing.
what bag are you carrying there Robbie?
It's a little Lat 64 satchel! It's my glow bag actually hahaha
has robbie always sounded like blow off valves when he throws?
Try out a Sycamore from AGL!
try a Plasma Servo, they tend to be flatter.
My MVP Inertia is becoming a favorite
I find the Discraft Cicada is a closer option to the Crave
