Ok, never thought I'd ever see this again. I was able to watch the walk around from previous owner. Would love to do that to my 1993 RRC ..thanks for sharing.
what perfect timing, My 4.0 Range Rover has a suspect oil pump issue. then one of my favourite channels has a great series on fault finding and fixing the issue. Thank you Lost Cause Ranch
Congratulations on hitting the 10k subscribers, now onwards and upwards to 20k. Great to see the old Range Rover Camper is back pumping oil, looking forward to the restoration of the camper body, what have you got in mind for her? You now need to get the new workshop completed so you can get back on the 90, looking forward to seeing her transformation. Keep up the great work 😎👍
Yes, should be at a better point after next week to get back on the 90. I’m not sure how workable the shop will be during this winter as it is sneaking up on me. But either way the 90 is getting done in the small garage. Big one will At least give me some good cover for the camper tear down and what not throughout winter. After the shop is closed in the 90 is the priority.
It’s an addiction haha, thankfully it went past my comfort zone. Not too often do you run across a Camel Trophy comp rig though. But you are right, I probably don’t need another Rover. I do have a bid in on another one though already, we’ll see in a week, much cheaper.
A man that calls himself *Rover Dogs* is not actually supposed to ask such a very silly ( wanted to say "stupid", but I will not ) question...😂😂😇 It's not how many you have, it is how many off them are usable.. 🤔🙄😉 It's a Land Rover thing. We are all in the same struggle. I can't stand an abandoned Landie, I will hunt for the owner until I find him, trying to get it to "our" Landy Orphanage either for a rebuild or spares... Old Land Rovers never die, they get reincarnated into another Landy, as each one has it's own soul...... Roll me over in a Rover, and it's never over in a Rover. Regards from 🇿🇦
I had an annoying belt squeal on my 88 RRC, couldn't figure out where it was coming from and drove it like that for a year. Sold the classic and within a week the fan clutch exploded on the new owner puncturing the radiator and the hood!
Ive been told whem i forget something like a wallet at home, im either too early to where destiny had me going or the guiding angels avoided a negative outcome. Who knows but i have faith.
They can do that if they sit for an extended period. All the residual oil drains back out of the pump, then it can score the gear and then with the score marks it doesn’t create enough suction to pull oil back up in the gear. That is one reason why I pack the new gear with Vaseline before installing, so there isn’t the same scenario with the new one that has no oil. I’ve had a few of the 3.5-4.6s chew a gear up after being parked for the winter.
@@LostCauseRanch - Okay thank you for that explanation. I haven't started my 1999 P38 Range Rover for 2 years (just bought a replacement battery for it). So knowing this "drain back" issue & to be easy on the starved oil pump, should we always pull the ignition relay and then cycle the starter for a few seconds?
Hey Joe... Call the parts store... ask for that Water pump gasket... and ask them to describe the gasket for you!!! ;) lol 😆 funner when its a lady parts person
Hey look at that 10k Subscribers! I appreciate every one of you, thanks for following along with all the oddball stuff going on around here!

Cool to hear, have had it about a year now I think. Going to tidy up the camper this winter.
We may have crappy weather here in Iowa but man have the sunrises and sunsets been a treat lately
We have had a rash of neat ones the past couple weeks. I don’t remember having as many cool ones in that short of period before.
Great news Joe! But just remember, an extinguished oil pressure warning light is bare minimum oil pressure, not necessarily 'good' oil pressure.
Definitely, I’ll check it mechanically before we actually do anything with it.
@@LostCauseRanch I figured you would. Good luck, hope everything's good.

2:53 I watch too much RUclips. My first thought.. that's good Joe got sponsored by Ridge Wallet. Here comes the promo...
Damn, missed opportunity on that one. Would have been a good integration haha, I'm not that forward thinking though.
Congrats on 10k subscribers.
Appreciate that!
Yay 10K club, And do you really need another rover right now ????? Good to see it running

Well that sounds promising haha.

That’s a good way to look at it. Maybe I dodged a bullet.
Hurray!!
Super exciting haha. Glad it came back to life.
Congrats on 10k subs
Appreciate that!
Dang you run 20w-50 in these?! Mighty thick!
Have you repainted the workshop door? It matches the wall better now. Well done hitting 10k subs!
Not yet, it is weird. Certain light situations it looks dead on and some way off.
Thanks!

Is it ready for another Montana trip?
Let’s load up.

Yay haha, not that it means anything really, but still cool. Thanks as always.
Is this your Vermont Rovers Weenie Roast 2023 rig?
Ideally this would be the one going out. Perfect road trip Rover.
