We have had one for YEARS. The only problem is going somewhere that doesn't have it. At work, I will stand at the sink and touch the faucet a few times until I remember it is not touch. I did the dishes at my sister's often and told her if she doesn't get one, I will stop doing the dishes :D It is so convenient when you are cooking and have full or messy hands. It literally works with your forehead. We have had no drip problems or magnet problems. We might need to replace the battery annually? Not sure but not so often that I think, again? Plus we got the soap dispenser. Another time saver. If you are still on the fence, do it. I would buy it again in a heartbeat if we were to move.
I experienced the drip recently, changing batteries seems to have helped. I think it's a design flaw in the water solenoid valve not seating closed all the way, probably due to water deposits building up, so a good filtration system before the faucet inlet hose may be ideal
Nice video. I think the reason why the extender part isn’t touch sensitive is because of the constant need to pull out and move around the sink. So I’m sort of happy with that! The only thing I dislike about this product is the fact that most of our friends and family needs to ask “how does this thing work?” Haha
Thank you for this review. In California where we are in a severe drought, I think I'll skip this feature since I don't want to inadverantly turn the water on when not needed. Thanks again.
Glad you're thinking about water conservation! I was worried a bit about the same but have found that I actually am able to conserve water using my touch activated sink. For example, if my hands are full with a heavy pot I've just cleaned I can quickly tap the sink with an elbow and then put the dish on the rack instead of putting the pot down first and going back to the sink to turn it off.
@@warrengrabenstetter1484 Exactly...... letting the water flow for no reason other than too lazy to turn it off when getting dishes or cleaning is super wasteful. I bought this to save water in CA
The only problem I have with my delta faucet is the sprayer Donets stay retracted or held in place by the Magnet. And then it releases from the neck when I turn it off.
Another reason a faucet will leak is because the aerator has debris in it. The aerator is the screen at the end of the nozzle. The aerator should be cleaned once in a while.
And that's why I stick with regular faucets. Won't turn on when you didn't want it, no batteries to replace every few months and overall just a lot less things that can break or go wrong.
I have a question about the toggle on the nozzle. If you activate spray mode and then turn off the water does it remain in spray mode or return to the normal mode?
Thanks so much for the hack to fix the dripping faucet which I was seeking an answer. I will try it. Any feed back on getting hot water from faucet. My new faucet seems to take longer than previous kitchen sink faucet for hot water to be delivered. UPDATE Nov 2020: the faucet has been working great for months now. Touch on touch off.
DELTA faucets are garbage! Save yourself the trouble and anger and buy something that works. I hate my Delta faucet with passion, since I have never seen garbage like this.
I bought a house that had this faucet and it worked really well for the 3yrs we lived there. It did have the dripping issue a couple times. Mine was caused by the small filter valve being clogged (down under the sink where the hose connects to the water line). Most times you can free the clog using the method shown OR if it's persistent, pull it apart and clean it. I cleaned mine twice in 3 years. Probably depends on the cleanliness & hardness/softness of water supply you have.
Is this a forward only rotating handle? My window sill is RIGHT behind the handle and i would have no clearance if it required the abile turn push backwards like most single handle faucets
found this on google on Delta's website: Remove one clip on top of the solenoid identical to the one comes with this piece and pull black plastic piece snaps around the bottom hose. The solenoid valve is free, put this bypass piece and snap the black plastic piece and top piece back on and DONE. The faucet is now like a normal non-touch faucet.
Have you had any sensitivity issues? I notice that I have tap mine pretty hard to get the faucet to turn off and on. I wiped down the faucet it worked a bit better but not nearly as sensitive as when it was first installed.
The c-clamp underneath the faucet might be touching the warm water hose . its heat sensitive . Turn the hot water on and reach underneath to see if it warms up and touch the c clamp
What type of batteries do you use? Bought mine in august 2018, replaced them and didn't last 2 months this last time. I wish I could get rid of the touch option but can't find anything on how to do that.
I hate touch sensitive faucets. I feel like I have to go through an extra step just to turn on the water. Plus it’s way too sensitive and shuts on and off just by lightly accidentally tapping the unit. Would not recommend.
Not really, a friend has a cat and a touch faucet and it does get turned on but also automatically shuts off after a minute or so which means some water definitely gets wasted but it won't run until you notice at least.

I think that arctic stainless looks cheap. Delta is going cheap, but there prices have not. Brush or polished nickel is a better look! But is not offered in many models!

You didn't show how long the hose is and how much reach it has...🤷♀️

Thank you, you are the first review I have come across to say how long the batteries lasted you in real life use.
Can you do an update on your faucet please

Where do u replace the batteries

Still holding up? I’m thinking about purchasing. Wanna know if it’s worth it still.

After replaced the batteries the flow of water is very low. Do you know how to fix that?

Yes, on the coldest setting, the handle points straight up.
Kinsiderations thanks!
can you override the touch and turn the water on manually?
found this on google on Delta's website:

No sensitivity issues, had it for almost a year now. It's still quite sensitive for me. We keep it clean and wipe it down everyday, maybe that's why.
The c-clamp underneath the faucet might be touching the warm water hose . its heat sensitive . Turn the hot water on and reach underneath to see if it warms up and touch the c clamp

Costco Kirkland brand, they last a long time.
There is an electric adaptor to replace the batteries
Great review. Thanks
Is this the Arctic Stainless or Chrome finish?
Did you ever figure what it was?
Thanks

Have you used one? NO? I bet you let the water run when you brush your teeth....
@@b4804514 yes I have one and disabled it.
I agree with @b4804514, you probably leave the water running all the time. this is a finite resource and not an entitlement.
so if you got a cat your boned?
This comment gave me an image of a cat sitting in front of it tapping the faucet constantly 😂

Because you really love masculine voices 😻
