#GracePotter (Grace Evelyn Potter, born June 20, 1983) is an American singer-songwriter and musician who formed Grace Potter and the Nocturnals in 2002. Potter released her debut solo record Original Soul on 2004 via Grace Potter Music. Potter and her band parted ways in 2015, just before the release of her solo album, Midnight. Her latest album, Daylight, was released in 2019. In 2011, Potter and Higher Ground founded Grand Point North music festival in Burlington, Vermont. The music festival celebrates local acts, promotes area businesses and has attracted national performing artists, including Kenny Chesney, Jackson Browne, The Avett Brothers, Trey Anastasio, Nathaniel Rateliff, The Flaming Lips, Trampled By Turtles, Gov't Mule, and more.

I was there for this but I saw her with the nocturnals at a small club in New Jersey, Stanhope House. I was so close I literally could have strummed her guitar. I knew she would be a star.
Grace is so special almost I would say unique in her abilities. I love her music her band and her style. Please come to the UK Grace when all this Covid stuff is over and its safe to do so.

I saw this girl live at the Capitol Theater in Macon, Georgia a couple of years ago. She tore the place down. Her live show is a MUST SEE event. I mean she rocked it to the foundation.

It certainly doesn't define her, but the sound of that Flying V is unmistakable; whether you like it or not.
I still like her voice but she has changed so much since parting ways with the Nocturnals. Together they were seamless and incredibly good. I much prefer her older music.

This is the kind of music I wish Juliet Simms would sing. Or, at least, I wish I could hear this music sung by someone like Juliet, because it has the depth her voice needs, and Grace's voice lacks the grit to color this music properly. I sure wish juliette would collaborate with song writers like this and Anne Previn, because her own writing doesn't do her voice justice. If she was smart, like Bonnie Raitt, Juliet would let really good writers work with her. She'd be a superstar if she would.

Loved when she was with the Nocs. Still love her voice but the music not so much. Not that there's anything wrong with it but she;s put on more than a few pounds.
She seems like a performer who's self esteem is way higher than her talent. Should be the other way around.
She's a really great musician who writes great tunes. Her old music was insanely great and highly influenced by the band. This isn't even the original line up, which is where she was her best. Check out the album "Grace Potter & The Nocturnals" as its one of their best. The new solo Grace stuff isn't good in my opinion, but at least the first 5 or so albums are classics.
