Thank you for the video! I am one of the lucky people who are able to enjoy the S300 without problems. But there are many others who report that it is simply uncontrollable on their system. I guess that is where the bad rating in the Marketplace comes from. Regarding the turn coordinator, that one seems to be broken on all helicopters that use the Asobo flight model. The only helicopters that have realistic engine simulation and limits seem to be the FlyInside 47G and 206, or do you know of any others?
In my opinion FlyInside seem to have the most realistic flight model. When I'm just flying for fun, rather than for RUclips I usually pick either the B206 or B47 unless I want to get somewhere quickly, in which case I'll go for B222, which is a lot of fun but not as realistic The only other one I can think of would be the Miltech Simulations Osprey, although not technically a helicopter it's still a rotorcraft. It's got VRS modelled on it and engine failures and if you try to autorotate it, you will crash and die, so theat's pretty accurate to the real thing. However it's a unique module so it's difficult to make a comparison. But it's a great module and I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for something a bit different.
guten abend habe eine frage oder ein problem und zwahr habe ich den helicopter gekauft leider kann man den aber nicht fliegen man kommt kaum ab dem boden und wen ja dreht er sich im kreis egall was ich mache und die unterstüzungen sind eingeschaltet kann mir jemand helfen oder sagen was ich machen mus good evening i have a question or a problem and yes i bought the helicopter unfortunately you can't fly it you can hardly get off the ground and if so it turns in circles no matter what i'm doing and the supports are switched on can someone help me or say what i have to do
Have you flown any other helicopters in the sim before? The S300 is particularly tricky and I wouldn't recommend for starting out with. I have a tutorial video using the Cabri G2 which is a lot more forgiving and explains why the helicopter spins and how to correc it. ruclips.net/video/4R9e7rrB7Ko/видео.html If the helicopter is twisting you need to use the opposing pedal to correct it. With the S300, the ground effect is really tricky. I find the best option is just to climb out of it as quickly as possible. It becomes a lot more stable once it gets into normal flight.
Are the pedals not responding at all is it just too erratic to control? Have you tried resetting the trim? I believe the fix for it should be available now. It may be that's trimmed so far to one side that pedals are ineffective. Even with the fix though It is a really difficult helicopter to control when it first takes off.
I am trying to help. What I meant, was have you reset the trim on the helicopter? It maybe that the helicopter is loading with the trim set all the way in one direction or another. If this is the case then the helicopter would be uncontrollable no matter what you did with the pedals, which sounds like the problem you're experiencing.
Well the 300 is very squirrelly on take off in real life. There is a very viral video of a man that bought one, and tried to fly it without any flight instruction and well let me tell you, he lived but the helicopter suffered a RUDE in spectacular fashion. I do not own this helicopter in the sim but other than the trim I don't see it being unstable as being unrealistic.
I agree, and it wouldn't be the first helicopter to implement a realistic flight model and be met with bad feedback because it's difficult to fly. Helicopters are difficult and a lot of flight models are geared towards the skill of the average flight simmer rather than realism. It's certainly the ugliest take off I've done in a long time and for the sake of my pride I'm going to assume that's the trim issue 🤣. But once you learn it's quirks it's not bad at all. A little curious about the guy who crashed one though. Did he not have the appropriate rating for the S300 or did not have a helicopter license at all?
Honestly Nemeth set the bar super low for me with the P68, being rated on the type IRL, I checked youtube videos to decide if it was worth the investment. I was shocked to see someone is selling planes that won't even run correctly with normal ops. For the small price tag, the least I expect is the plane to follow the speeds as per POH or not startup with the fuel shutoff being closed. Nevertheless it seems to be a trend where they love to delivery products not worthy of a "beta" tag- if only stores were moderating such scams as I would call it. Now with the Schweizer, I didn't notice if you started with the clutch engaged but the rotors shouldn't go with the engine start and the sounds themselves are super inaccurate. I've flown the S269 variant and it runs the same lycoming engine off a cessna so you can guess how it should sound, but they seem to have ripped sounds off an R44. And I've never seen the engine fluctuate at startup
I have this helicopter too and find i very hard to control. There is a half-second lag in the control inputs and once it finally reacts, it is extremely mushy, plus any corrective input has another half-second lag before you can catch and correct the errand movements and it very quickly gets out of hand. Squirrely is one thing, but the mushiness many of us seem to experience just doesn't feel right. I bought most helicopters that are available for msfs and I can fly them all more or less comfortably, , but not this one. There seems to be something wrong with the flight model that shows up only in some computers but not on others. It is an excellent model but I can't fly it like I can fly my other helicopters. It should react in a split second to control inputs.
