As another viewer has mentioned, I have terrible insomnia. These ASMR videos are the perfect cure. The crisp audio production and soothing sounds, the warm tonal qualities of the visuals, all come together to relax me. The best part is no medications required! Cheers to you Luke, cheers!
Great episode, this is very similar to my hunting set up. Drive to a remote location, hike in 7-10 kms and set camp before sunset. Hunt and return to camp at dark, cook and eat. Sleep, up before sun rise and hunt. Have brunch and collapse the camp and return back to the truck. Hunt and drive out, normally empty handed! Nothing beats a light snow scenario like this, easy to hike and track. Super photography, thank you.
I bought the same tent, because of Luke’s recommendation, and took it on a three day duck hunt near Lake Okeechobee, Fl. A cold front pushed through and I did not bring the winter liner with me. It was predicted to be in the 60’s and I think it reached the 40’s at night. It rained on and off the whole trip. Because of the humidity it felt a lot colder than it was and it made everything damp, even the inside of the sleeping bag was damp. I brought a hurricane lantern with me and lit it the second night. I opened the top zippers of the tent’s doors for ventilation. The little lantern gave off enough heat that it dried everything inside the little tent and warmed it back up enough for this Florida girl to be comfortable once again. Of course, I did not sleep while the lantern was lit. Once the tent was warm and dry enough I put out the flame and then fell asleep. We did not catch any ducks.
How do you “catch” ducks
@@randypond7499 Ha-ha, you catch them using a shotgun. You sneak up behind one and hit it in the back of the head with the butt of the gun. I guess we could shoot them but that would be too easy. But, there were no ducks to be found.
Storm winds scattered my friend’s decoys scattered around the lake. We ended up catching those ducks.
@@AwesomeProjects20I thought you just put salt on their tails.
Super cool that you can carry that big back pack
I thoroughly enjoy your videos Luke. I realize all the work that you put in to make them and the obvious hours you spend editing them. They are absolutely amazing. Keep on doing it brother.
Thanks
Thank you Luke. Love both your channels. This channel helps me relax and fall asleep when I have insomnia. Not boring but I love camping and watching you be out there where I love to be puts me in good relax mode. Like going to your happy place and drifting to good sleep loving watching.
Luke, you have the most enjoyable videos on You Tube!!!!
That was priceless, Luke. 😮 Something everyone has run into when camping sometime. The O Shit moment. Way to think outside of the box. U made the tent work anyway. 😂😂 Still funny as hell seeing and hearing your reaction. Nicely done. Again, thank you for taking the time on the things you do. To help learning and getting the right stuff. Also, what not to get. 👍🤙😎
Thank you Luke. Stay safe
I really envy these trips you take! 😊
Well organized video and you compliment dispersed camping.
I don't think I can beat the Congress they're great
I like both channels.
This one,I don't have to pick and choose.
Thank you and keep up the good work.
I was half asleep and heard the snap and exploitive and thought you cut your finger off! I had to rewind and watch to see what happened 😝
Beautiful camp 🏕 thanks Luke for sharing ❤
What a gorgeous day and a beautiful chilly morning. Nice video. Thank you!
All the bags have there own storage bags😂
Nice... looked a lit'l cold 🥶 out there ! Thanks. ...Alan 🇨🇱
Love your channel
I have always wondered, why do we have to have an extra long spoon to eat from those bags. Why not just cut the top of the bag off so what we can eat with a regular spoon?
Then you just have more messy trash to deal with.
I don't eat out of those foil pouches the meals come in because there is too much heat loss during the 10-15 minutes required during re-hydration. I open those foil paks at home, pour the meal into 1 sq ziplok baggies. When I ready for a meal I boil water in a 750ml titanium cup, pour the freeze dried meal into the water/cup, insert the cup into my own homemade Reflectix Koozie, wait for the meal to re-hydrate, then enjoy a HOT HOT meal right down to the last foldable sporkfull.
I get that 99% of the footage in these videos are set up......they have to be! Bust SO well done and SO fun to watch! Keep em coming my friend!!!
Luke, I have enjoyed watching your adventures. I wonder if you are planning on some trips to higher altitudes? I was hoping so, to get more information on equipment you could review for that. Especially, stoves, heaters, etc. Anyway, thanks for all the great content.
right on Luke, i wish i could still hike like that.
Luvuluke♥️
Nice and smart bro
I can hear you thinking!😂😂😂
I certainly can dig the “quietness” though commwmtary sometimes is fine too!
Beautiful! Though I’d like to know where you are getting snow, unless it was filmed earlier in the year.
The pole break… was this normal wear and tear and/or from low temperatures?
What is the knife? Dont see it on your gear list.
Did you ever get these poles fixed under warranty?
Luke, I'm sorry buddy, but there must be some kind of cultural barrier going on here. You see, the term "deep snow" has a very different meaning here in Canada. I'd still wear crocs on that mountain. In a pinch. LOL I have to tell you that your use of light in your videos and photos is VERY VERY impressive. The visuals you manage to get are outstanding. Can I have your permission to use screen shots for references for landscapes?
for small fire pits like this, light a heat tab in the bottom first, then add your fuel. and always put it downwind.
You should make a video to show us all your abundant knowledge.
you wouldn't have enough time in your life to watch it. 28 yrs in the Army teaches you more than a few things.@@lastknownlocation8760
Nice repair Luke
Fiberglass poles do break. And Aluminum poles can get bent out of shape.
Moral of this is to BE CAREFUL with your poles which are required for your structure.
Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada
Was that your fault or a weakness in the design of the tent Luke ?
I love your knife, what kind is it? Love your video too.
I think it’s “petrified fish, Bunta”
❤❤❤❤❤
No bugs, snakes are back in. All good. Same deal again with the pole. Far from military grade equipment. Good script, just be quite. Like it. Good vid, nexttime
I hope you didn't say bad talk 😂😊
Make sure to add Gorilla Tape to Your Arsenal campers 4:22
I got duct tape, works just fine, but thanks kid.✌🏻🍻
4:21 Make sure to have gorilla tape in your arsenal campers.
Good Point.
Yes, that tape is awesome, that's all I use now
Repost?
Deep snow, where?
Moving to fast. Lay off the coffee and don't break stuff.
You never show what you’re carrying in that small little pouch you were on the front when you’re backpacking
Too much saturation. You're glowing orange. Love the videos just wish the colours were more realistic.
His gun
Luke or Lukes twin ?
Deep snow? Hmmmm.
I don't understand why this guy doesn't talk through his videos anymore??
🏕👍
Do you not talk?
He does, on his other channel, The Outdoor Gear Review. Lots of adventures very similar to this but with chat and commentary. The point of this second channel is to do something different.
I wouldn't say that was deep snow and y don't u talk
That's the point of this channel, no commentary. Luke's other channel, The Outdoor Gear Review, features lots of similar adventures complete with superb commentary.
Build a real campfire. 🤦🏻♀️
His fireplace is known as canned heat…
Luke why didn't you bring wife
It's quiet place... but are there already quite many these silent movies
Because he likes it quiet like we do
This tent is only the one person tent maybe. This is an excellent tent and they have gone up on the price of the tent and the winter kit.
Another crap tent! Don’t you get fed up of trialing crap products? I do!
I love my litefighter!!
Nothing special, another $$ opportunity for this channel. Everyone is doing this. I'm out of these views.
Deep Snow? Can't you just say Snow and bitter cold? The Snow I saw was well under an inch deep. Integrity. Honesty say more than words to draw viewers. Unsub.
🤍💝💖💜❤️😇💙❣️♥️
