Nice looking guitar Darrin I'm a new subscriber, thank you for the video.
Thanks for the lesson! I think you're slightly misleading when showing first arpeggio (E5) slow, because you say: hit strings 6-5-4-3-2-1-2-3-4 but when you play it at tempo, you actually SKIP 2 (B string) when descending: 6-5-4-3-1-2-34
You are right
That guitar! I likes it.
Cool lesson, how did you get that killer of giants sound, I don't have a reverb setting in my amp
Wow this is great!!!!!

So, no one has mentioned that the last two chords (starting at 6:00) should not be D and E. It's actually C and D.
Great
great videos.
say Ozzy dozens of times, I liked J.L a lot.
cheers
John in England

Bad ass! Do you play to finish it for us? I hate learning little pieces of songs.
Nice guitar...
I don't know how I learned this back in the late 80s without tabs or the internet. Well I know, listening chords out and using past knowledge learned lol. Beautiful song to learn though! I only learned it to the point VOCALS began so I'm wanting to learn the rest of the song.
How do you do that staccato picking thing so smooth and fast for the intro? What do you do to develop that technique?
Ask the SMART ASS XENAMAX, He knows it all.
You should add "INTRO" to the title, so those of us searching for a lesson on the entire song won't be disappointed
Those strings sound like they are about 2 hours old.
You can always hear that harmonic twang, on fresh strings
Cool video.
Please, what model is that Spear guitar? Is the colour original? Thanks.
Spear Gladious HT HG
Yes that is the original finish
What should i set my delay pedal to in milliseconds to match the studio version?
just tweak it 'till it's fell right
I play it on acoustic
Sounds great
Yes hes off its c then d at the very end
Not d to e
Also tuning to E flat makes a world of difference
Hes in standard tuning
Hey what guitar is this? That holo finish is nice
It's a Spear Gladius HT-HG
In my prevoius comment I forgot to ask! What kind of guitar is that? I can't see the headstock. Thanks
Spear
Where is the Last bit of the intro?
You forgot the last part before the vocal. 6th fret D and G string. Strum 4 notes up starting at high E, 1234 4x, I think, then slide those 2 notes forward 1 fret and repeat pattern . Do that 2x, then slide same shape to 2nd fret and strum down 5 strings starting on the A. I think.
Sharon shit the bed big time when she let Jake go.
What brand of guitar is that?
Brett it's a Spear Gladius HT HG
Should've shown the last little lick right after that, that is as far as I got, I was hoping to see some of the chords after the intro. Thanks for the video anyway.
Your guitar sounds like the action is too low or neck is back bowed? Great job on lesson.

You kids don't know how lucky you are......I had to learn this myself on my classical nylon string, and a tape deck. I will say...it's feels a lot more natural to do it fingerstyle though.
Where's the next part
Is this in standard tuning???
Fred Langer I don't remember if the original is in standard or not, but I'm in standard tuning in the video.
Original is half step down
Everything after the into I can't pickup
Frets 6 5 6 5 2 D
G string each time.
The intro is wrong. After the 2nd time the Fmaj7(#11) is played, the next chords should be Csus2, C9sus4, (twice) then Dsus2, D9sus4 (twice). In short, you were up two frets higher than you should have been. I like your sound. Good job.
So if you knew the chords and already knew how to play the thing, why come here?? So you could under mind the man on UTUBE?? Get your own F-N channel Smart ASS.
@@dudleydooright ] I suppose if one wanted to hear the song as it was wrote, watch Jake play it. This guy does alright. Take your smug ass to your own channel and play it. Never fails with guys like you!!
Robert Proctor probably for the same reason I watched it: hoping to learn the next section after this. He is right tho, because if you try and play the next section off this it will just be wrong. The first few bars are played differently to the way I learned it tho and his way is definitely easier so it’s not about being a smart arse but about learning together and finding the correct or better way. Plus he looks like he can stick up for himself so no need for you to get all hard as nails on your keyboard.
The intro doesn’t end there. You forgot the few last chords.
Not mentioning what the name of the chord was had me confused
Sort that fret buzz out thank you
I play the intro abit different :/ his way looks easier...
nice
