- This video addresses choosing between the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk normality tests using SPSS. A review of normality testing through several methods is conducted, including skewness, kurtosis, histograms, and Q-Q plots.
Thanks you for this video, when you complete the analysis whit the histogram and q-q plots, Shapiro - Wilk really take relevance.
this video was informative and built on my knowledge of statistics. thank you
Video is helpful to see the steps in SPSS to view the comparison. It seems that the choice most likely is going to be the Shapiro-Wilk over the Kolmogorov-Smirnov in most cases.
Thank you for that very useful and valuable tutorial. I wish you would have said whether or not you would have carried out an ANOVA or a Mann-Whitney, which would have been even more helpful, and how you would justify which one you would have chosen.
Learning to interpret the data is something I will need to work on. I would need a reference list in order to preform these tests.
Great video. Thank you!
You're welcome - thanks for watching -
Thanks for the video. It was helpful.
However, for my work, my factors were male and female; the p-value for the male was 0.001 and that of the female was 0.157.......with this do I conclude that the data was normally distributed or not?
Suppose that I have just 3 cases for each category what is the best way to detect the normality
I heard that samples over 50 it's better to inspect the KS test
very helpful! Thanks Professor!
thx
What happens when they are differences between Kolmogorov and Shapiro for normality testing
