This is 2022 and I and a friend will be vacationing in St Lucia in July. Watching your videos have been so INFORMATIVE!!!!!!! I was afraid to do the driving but by watching both of you I am tempted to rent a car for a few days. (and pray the battery doesn’t give out) You both have been so inspiring … I love how you call your wife Queen. A former St Lucian friend of mine used to always call me queen … your Queen is so blessed. Once again. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for the support and kind words as you watched our videos. I truly hope that you guys will have an amazing time in St Lucia. The driving is scary the first day but after that I was fine the whole time as an American. The Queen and I are appreciative of your love and happy to have your support
Hi nice video and great presentation. I have been to St Lucia Twice. I visited for 6 weeks from July to Sep 1993 and for 3 months & 2 weeks in 1995. That was a long time ago and from my experience St Lucia has changed so much and not all for the better. It is still a beautiful island but is now highly commercialised which has compromised some of it's natural beauty. When I visited back then they were way more palm trees and natural vegetation. There is by far so much more property development there. My parents were from St Lucia but since passed away R.I.P. to both my parents. I stayed at Anse Chastnet Hotel Soufriere, and Royal St Lucia in Castries. I hope to get married there in a couple of years. St Lucia remains my favourite place that I have ever traveled to. Thanks for sharing. Subscribed Tony from UK London
One tip I can give, is if you are driving on the island, try not to drive in Castries. Even google maps get's lost. Find a secure parking lot and take a taxi to the market. Then get out as quickly as you can.
Wow, wonderful video. Great information and great presentation. And if i can, its great to see more of our people traveling and exploring the world. i was married in St Lucia, and am going back next summer for my wife & i's 20th anniversary, and cannot wait to return. it is a wonderful place.

Would recommend you and your queen to check out Rodney Bay to party next time you are back. It was a special experience seeing tourists and locals having fun together. Love your tip to stay up to date with travel advisory because cases are rising here and easing back into lockdown. Hopefully, we all can come back in the future and do some content on all the things we missed out on doing here. Speaks highly of the amount of Amazing things to do in beautiful St. Lucia. How did you feel about the parking situation? Were you able to find parking majority of the places you went to? As well, what’s the average speed limit were you going? Did you feel locals were tailgating you, pressuring you to go faster?
Thanks for your questions! The parking was not much of a challenge, but I appreciate your interest in my experience. I tried to adhere to the speed limits, I don't exactly remember what they were but it was nothing that I noted differnt

Hi, from how you describe St. Lucia it seem like one big hassle. I think you mentioned the curfew 6 to 8 times that seem to be happening all within anytime of day light hours and never not once said one word what it is all about. With that and from your report, no thanks. I do like both of you.
The curfew was due to covid-19. They went during covid-19 when there was a major outbreak and it was a measure to curb the spread. These curfews have since been lifted. No more curviews. It's not a hassel. St Lucia is a simple island nothing complicated. It was just restricted during covid-19 because it's spread so fast and the island is so small with a population of 180000 not that much the government was just trying to control the spread and protect the people. Don't be discouraged. Now to travel you jsut need a negative PCR test with not vaccinated but if vaccinated you only need proof of your vaccination.Go visit St Lucia. We are simply beautiful and we would love to have you.
Thank you for checking out our video and supporting our channel. This video was made based on our August 2021 experience. I believe their restrictions have settled down but I would check for yourself.
I can't believe you said "the only way to get a rental car is to be fully vaccinated." YOU THINK THAT EXPERIMENTAL, FORCED VACCINATIONS ARE OK??? You don't think that's Nazi at all?
Great information; however, do yourselves a big, big favour, and ask the locals how to pronounce the various place-names. It's not too difficult, but my wife, who grew up in St Lucia, gets really annoyed when people mispronounce the various place names. You should also be aware that residents of the United Kingdom, also watch your great videos, and they do not have to go through the same routine as you do, to enter the Island; due to St Lucia being part of the British Commonwealth of Nations. You could inadvertently find yourself putting Brit's/Limeys off, from going there. After all, it's an 8 hour flight for us, as opposed to a 4 hour flight for the majority of Yanks.
Thank you so much for checking out my video and supporting my channel. You gave some really good criticism that I absolutely agree with. I will do better to pronounce these names right. This video is what was listed at the time by the St Lucia website and when we went. It was not specific to Americans but travelers I believe. Hopefully, I did not offend anyone and still look to travel here
@Merité Media Ltd I agree! When UK people go they need to make their own video. This is this couple’s experience and their knowledge being shared. Great video btw!
If you have 40 years of experience with St. Lucia, go ahead and make your own video with tips. I’ve never been, and so I find their perspective as first timers really helpful
Curfews are OVER! You can enjoy the night life and the Gros Islet Street parties are still on. Carnival is on! So it is a great time to come!

Thank you for watching and supporting our channel
Yip. you need to come again, post pandemic...but first practice a lil French pronunciation😂
Thank you for the support to our channel. We absolutely want to go back. I know my pronunciation was horrible haha
Hopefully, I did not offend anyone and still look to travel here
@Merité Media Ltd I am not from the UK but yes this video is solely based on my experience as a tourist
@Merité Media Ltd I agree! When UK people go they need to make their own video. This is this couple’s experience and their knowledge being shared. Great video btw!
to rent a car you must be fully vaccinated... what a joke! unbelievable...
This was last year during august. I would double check this information for the most current information
It’s pronounced Cah-ss-trees, Castries.
haha i am so sorry we butchered all the names of all these places!
Why are people that just started going to St Lucia telling us about the place when we have been going there for forty years
Thanks for watching the video and supporting me.
If you have 40 years of experience with St. Lucia, go ahead and make your own video with tips. I’ve never been, and so I find their perspective as first timers really helpful
