as cool as hannibal is as a character, i'm not sure why he'd ever really be added considering he's very methodical about how he kills which wouldnt really fit the game, and he'd have no real power unless he maybe eats people which would be way too odd lmao
My thoughts exactly, I love Hannibal; he stands out as one of my favorite horror icons… up there with Jack Torrance for me… but I don’t think he belongs in DBD. I don’t think they could craft Hannibal in a way that does him justice. He would probably feel like just a dude who looks like Hannibal rather than actually feeling like we’re playing as the Dr himself. Also with the direction Behavior has been going I genuinely believe Hannibal wouldn’t fit the atmosphere, he’s too grounded in psychological horror while DBD is more of a party game with horror IPs now a days. I think if Hannibal ever got a video game adaptation he deserves to be the antagonist of a RPG. I’m imagining a gritty, dark game like Heavy Rain where you are the detective either tracking Hannibal down or getting his help to locate a different killer… I highly doubt Behavior could portray him the way he deserves to be. But maybe I’m just overly cynical and will eat my words next year when they release the greatest interpretation of Hannibal since the first movie…. Doubted
I have researched Lecter for alot papers in college. I would say the book version would be the way to go if they did. He is completely distinct from the video adaptations. It would allow for a more methodical game play with a power that revolves around stalking with his gaze which is said to be captivating in the books. It's a copy paste power of Myers. That would be the best way if they were to go that route.
This is all speculation so maybe it’s Hannibal survivors not necessarily Hannibal himself… it’s just odd to add someone who is older, has no signature weapon, and no powers I feel legion kinda fills the average human trope

There’s so much more they can do in terms of gameplay and power if they go with the tv show version. While the original silence of the lambs is the much more popular of the two versions I honestly don’t think Anthony Hopkins Hannibal would work in the game with the tv show stuff as a skin if they go with the Mads Mikkelsen version, and if they don’t do the tv show I feel like original Hannibal by himself is not going to be compelling gameplay wise. My main issue is that while yes Hannibal is a horrifying character and very iconic he doesn't really have a solid "power" and isn't much of a slasher. I don't think he fits DBD specifically, he would just be a killer that looks like Hannibal

Anthony Hopkins was not the only person to play Hannibal in movies, Brian Cox played him first in Man Hunter. Also Bryan Fuller is mostly a tv writer, not a movie producer. He created and show ran the Hannibal TV show, which aired on NBC, which is owned by Universal. Also just because Universal was involved in that video game/movie release, and produced the show, that doesn’t necessarily mean they have any ownership over the character. Rights stuff is really complicated, Universal might have had the rights to make a game based off of their movie adaptation, not necessarily the entirety of the video game rights. Fuller was specifically talking about continuing the story of his tv show, which was an adaptation of Red Dragon and elements of the book Hannibal.
I think it’s odd that Jason Voorhees is not part of it, especially with Jason’s inclusion in multiversus. Hannibal would be an odd choice, especially when killers nowadays are more… interesting, to say the least.

Hannibal is one of my favorite horror characters, I’ve never thought it capable that they add him into Dbd- I still don’t think it’s likely that they can add him in a way that truly encapsulates him. Personally I think if they were to have any video game adaptation of the Dr would be for them to take a page out of “Heavy Rain’s” book and make it a gritty, horror game following a detective… I don’t see him fitting in DBD and it doing him in a way that makes it actually feel as tho he’s in the game rather than playing as a guy who looks like him… then again Behavior did a decent job with Sadako… idk, I don’t think it’s going to happen and I’m not sure I even want it to; even with Hannibal being one of my favorite horror characters…
I think a New Killer like The Thing or Predator could fit good into Dbd, Hannibal is nice yes but i dont really see him as a Killer that fits into the Game

I'm not opposed, but like why. He's just mister crazy dude number 15 out of what we already have. What would his power even be, making tongue noises at you?
I don't see how he would fit in as a killer in this game. Chasing and stabbing isn't really something he does. Funnily enough, I think it'd be better if he was a survivor. Seeing his smile and downturned brow as he looks at the other survivors would be both creepy and fun, making it look like he has plans for his fellow survivors once this is over. He gets unhooked and goes "Perhaps I misjudged you." or "I'll be sure to repay the favor." And you know exactly how he'd say it.

Three licensed characters in a row? Nah.
@@ObiWanCannoli95 Actually there are 2 licenses because 1 belongs to roadmap for the year 2024
jason and Fnaf is for 2025
Hannibal is one of my favorite horror characters, I’ve never thought it capable that they add him into Dbd- I still don’t think it’s likely that they can add him in a way that truly encapsulates him.
If they could get an Anthony Hopkins voiceover that would be cool.
Honestly I would love a Silence of the Lambs DLC one survivor two killers
Clarice Starling
Killers Hannibal Lectar and Buffalo Bill
Tell me when the Boulet brothers are being put in
I think a New Killer like The Thing or Predator could fit good into Dbd, Hannibal is nice yes but i dont really see him as a Killer that fits into the Game
I want the thing or slither
Lol. This movie was like a case study of how to mispronounce the letter "I" in several words.
Lemme help
Clarice is pronounced like: Clair - eese
Orion is pronounced like: Oh - rye - un
Dino is pronounced like: Deen-oh
Hope that helps buddy. But great investigations and info!
I'd be mad if they add hannibal before something more fitting like Art the clown.
7:09 cmon man I was looking past the pronunciations of "orion" and "Clarice" but Ed Wack? ngl I don't know how to pronounce it properly but I know it ain't that
I haven't watched this channel for almost a year now and this guy is still making excuses for his hair....I find it so funny 🤣
What if maybe Anthony Hopkins was leaked and not Hannibal? Like if it was a different killer? Like The Wolf Man?
HANNIBAL LECTER SILENCE OF THE LAMBS GOAT MOVIE
💯
It would be so cool to have Mads Mikkelsens version of Hannibal in the game, IM BEGGGIINNNNN. GIVE ME WILLLL GRAHHAMMM
HANNIGRAM?! IN MY DBD?!
If they ended up actually licensing the NBC series versions, I would forever run around as a sweaty, twitchy FBI man. xD
@@Shaydethelemur YES HANNIGRAM NEEDS TO INVADE DBD PLEASSSSEEE XD
if they added frank stone content, would it be original content or licensed?
Both because it’s by both behavior and supermassive
It should be considered original since he was created specifically as a character in the DBD universe. It would make him the first original killer to debut somewhere besides the game itself though.
Frank stone is original
@@FpAshtro original
This is so weird, silence of the lambs high key works better as a survivor only paragraph with Clarisse
if we get the grudge and fatal frame will this mean we'll have like 4 onyro/spirit killers in the game lmao
I think terrifier is gonna happen someday, call of duty got the license, HE BELONGS IN DBD
If he joins the fog (a murderer withouth a special power/weapon) I want also Negan as a killer xD
Sounds weird its like if they added Dexter Morgan or any killer from film and TV, they are just guys right?
That would drive the Fannibals crazy
Holy shit!
Kirie is in October?
Best video game villain ever.
Can you take two seconds to check how words are pronounced?
Hopkins didn't play Hannibal in Manhunter or Hannibal Rising.
Oh come on Hannibal Lecter? That's a bit out there. What kind of weapon would he have? A knife and fork? A bottle of chianti? Not every serial killer character is a fit for dbd
He would have a police baton which he used in the movie… Holy fuck have any of you guys actually watched any hannibal movies?
this year's og december chapter is definitely frank stone
No...is Dog Lady
@@SkullMerchantZzZleaks are taken with a grain of salt, it still could be frank stone
Love the channel man but you gotta read the right dates 😭
A cool character, but I have no idea how they would adapt him for DbD. 🤔
Schmuckles what are the odds of an art the clown chapter?
The nature of the DBD trials and the way Hannibal Lecter kills just doesn’t mesh.
I just want Jason tbh
I'm not opposed, but like why. He's just mister crazy dude number 15 out of what we already have. What would his power even be, making tongue noises at you?
Manhunter actually had a different actor for Hannibal
The amount of mispronounced names hurts
It’s an engagement tactic. It gets people commenting, and the algorithm doesn’t differentiate.
MADS MIKKELSEN IN DBD PLEASEEE
Hannibal Lecter without Agent Starling is like Ghostface without Sidney.
I just love the fact dead rising deluxe remaster is coming out and nobody saying anything 😂
Going to be a nerd here but hopkins wasn't in manhunter
The video game was from 2001 to 2003 not 2021 to 2023 the actual image had the right dates.
I hope we get sam from trick r treat man
I don't see how he would fit in as a killer in this game.
One can tell this rumour is not accurate because Jason is not considered and that one is looking very close
I don’t want Frank stone I don’t want grudge I’d prefer a original killer then those 2, Hannibal would be actually cool tbh
