Yes but wearing wigs is great so it would not damage the afro curls. The Afro is like the real hair underneath this wig, but the wig is getting damaged with hot combs and not her hair! Which is a win situation. And some have this hair texture but their afro is not defined or doesn’t have the length

@@renamc21 that’s the same thing you do after you get the wig on your head. Gluing the wig down takes the same amount of work as moisturizing, parting and detangling your hair🤨 if you don’t do that good for you I guess
afros can be damaging to the hair as its in a vulnerable state, natural yes, but drying and can cause breakage. wigs are a protective style, doesnt matter if you get a bussdown or an afro wig with kinky edges, its all to protect your real hair while being able to switch up the styles. literally coming from sb who wears wigs, braids and my natural hair
It’s true! We use wigs too much. Some day we gonna have to embrace our real hair - the afro. I’m not falling for the excuses that everyone is throwing around… the same way we can spend $50-$300 for wigs, that same amount of money could have gone towards quality hair products to ensure that our real hair doesn’t break. It’s that simple.
