I agree in Kung Fu Panda 4 we have the Chameleon as the villain, I still like Kai being the most powerful villain among all villains in Kung Fu Panda Movies.

Along with a Tai Lung spinoff, focusing on his time during the Spirit World
kung fu panda 3 is the true ending to the series

Thank you so much for cutting out the second half of the OST version of this track. Like, that part makes sense. But it's such a mood change from this that I would have to manually pause it each time. Now I don't have to worry about doing that anymore.

It's not Kai became corrupted but Oogway became good person. Someone who leads army to conquer will never be a good person including oogway(in the past).

Until we came to a secret panda village high in the mountains
They healed me with the power of chi
They taught me how to give chi but kai wanted all power to himself he saw what can be given can also be taken
I had to stop him our battle shook the earth until i banished kai to spirit realm if he manages to come again in mortal realm only a true master of chi can stop him
If Kai wanted the power, why couldn’t he just learn chi?
Kai was greedy and that’s wasn’t the way of chi
I think the logic goes that he can effectively double the energy output by using others like batteries and the more he has the greater the energy.
It probably has to tie into his story with Oogway of the War for China.
Master Oogway and Kai were probably losing the war and as said, in one battle they were ambushed, they fought until Oogway was suddenly wounded and out of the urge of trying to save his best friend Kai carried him through snow to up high into the mountains to probably hide, but ended up stumbling on a Panda Village, where they healed Oogway with chi.
And so, after witnessing such power to heal his best friend, he thought "If we can take this chi and use it against our enemies, we could greatly turn the tide of the war!" Kai would probably state
But the problem was Pandas could not take chi, they could only give chi (and probably only used it for healing, not for warfare), to which Kai was probably becoming frustrated and patient sense it probably took a long time to learn chi when it was just discovered by the two (to then which he starts finding his own way of means of getting it, which is to take it)
After hearing throughout the panda Village Kai was taking the chi of the pandas to help with the war, Oogway had learned to give chi instead stating "There's another way!", but Kai wouldn't listen, because with the chi he had took he felt powerful..
And so the clashes between to either give chi to others or to simply take it began with Oogway coming out on top, banishing Kai to the spirit Realm

Tai lung has the better theme but I love how the sound of the song actually started turning Corrupted and evil
