Yup it's a fun deck. Been playing from rank 20 and haven't lost yet.
I've seen that deck played at rank 5 and higher, it gets steamrolled by every tier 1-2 deck, pretty much. It's super LUL and omgsomanymemes but being actually competitive is something else.

Okay, anyone else think it's funny that Blazing Battlemage says "The fires of vengeance burn bright!" in a super cheerful voice? That line coming from a cute little gnome just seems too adorable to take seriously.
I'm in the camp of blast wave over Siamat in that last game. Reason being, the 'tempo' he gained is negligible. Rogue is amazing at dealing with singular minions and playing effectively a 6/3 was always going to see the tempo swinging back into the rogue's favour. While blast wave doesn't develop anything, it provides tempo later by providing more spell options to mana efficiently deal with boards and rogue's many answers sit in their hands as they develop little. It isn't too much to expect that a player would play medium threats onto an empty board and Siamat would then be better for that next turn. Hindsight said Siamat was always not going to get much value or tempo, but I think most of the time blast wave is correct there and waiting for an opportunity where Siamat would be better.
I also prefer Blast Wave there, precisely because it often is less tempo than Siamat. Good Siamat turns are a dime a dozen, while Blast Wave opportunities that don't cost too much tempo are a lot rarer. Being to able to play Blast Wave on curve and have it be a full clear with multiple overkills is the best it's ever going to be. Siamat can often do better than whack a 4/3 while leaving multiple other minions open. I'd rather clear the board with Blast Wave and keep a Siamat for the next assault than clear with Siamat and keep a potentially useless Blast Wave.
true, but still I agree with trumps thinking, making your enemy use resources reactively when you can is good. there is rarely enough turn to take the board if your opponent gets to hold on to removal in contsructed. while old school hearthtone is all value town, I believe this strong meta requires more complex tactics and means to seize advantages. especially versus galakrond decks you want to apply pressure whenever a reasonable opportunity presents itself, which in this case, does not seem that reasonable at first glance. as when they dont have to react, they get to freely generate and build up to insane power plays

Something came to me and I had to say it. I know it doesn't seem important until you think about it but Trump's thumbnails are the best around (even though Rania does an excellent job with Photoshop, I don't like the other parts of Kripp's thumbs). It's so clean and nice. Keep up the great work Jens.
P.S.: I didn't talk about the editing because I don't thinks it's needed, we all know Jens is the best in the business.

My deck is monster mash.
My most epic thing done till date aka just now was a sathrovarr + grave rune + onyxia .
So, I defeated a jaina proudmoore with 4 onyxias ( which have 8 Attack 9 health and an effect to fill the rest of the battle field with minions that r 1/1.)

Siamat play seemed wrong precisely because he can have rush, which means you can use him to swing tempo after you start with your board empty.
There was a pretty lively discussion regarding that play in his stream, I tend to agree with you, Blast Wave was guaranteed to be super strong that turn but might be useless every turn after, Siamat is guaranteed to be good pretty much whenever you play it.

I find it way more fun that if i had played Blast wave, cleared the board, and got 3 spells. he woulda had a hugely better chance of wining.

If only he had Blast Waved instead of Siamat.
That was absolutely dumb logic. He used the logic of ending up with a 6/6 vs 3/3 of stats against no stats at all on the board and decided that the 6/6 is better, ignoring the fact that blast wave generates 3 spells and he may not get a better opportunity for it anyways.
@FlandYEET - For once, his greed should have won out and somehow didn't. While it's true that it's tougher to squeeze in a 7-mana Siamat later in the game, there's also value in having the flexibility to do so when needed.

The thing is, Trump, it's a measly 6/6 taking out a pretty baby-minion, OR it's a total board-clear PLUS 3 random spells, which you can then use to also take on anything he puts on the board, PLUS you still have your siamat for things that are bigger.
I think this deck has potential!

This is similar to my mage deck but mine is greedier, Also why not add that new 3 cost card that summons a 1 cost minion from your deck? helps thin it out later.

That last game was hard to watch. Both from missplays and "created by" aspect. Having 6/6 against 3x 1/1 is basically the same as having empty board with two exceptions. Siamat can be used later on for swing turn and rogue is excellent at dealing with single minions so in the end those 3x 1/1 can easily survive so you end up out-tempoed and behind on the board even harder. I also don't understand why book of specter was not played with literally only 2 spells left in the deck. It could find either Reno to swing the board (and kill Kronx) or Zephrys for lethal.
Wait I'm seriously confused at 13:32-14:18. How the heck did the first dragonqueen get him two random dragons but the second one didnt? Both were discovered outside the game and he didn't add any more cards in his deck?

Face Hunter dominated the meta for a short while after the Shaman nerfs, and one (not optimal, but still very good) version of that deck cost only ~1600 dust. Toast made a video using it.

Imo, Archmage Antonidas over Siamat would be more optimal, to help end the game sooner.
